It is five years after Kyle's victory over the seven dark Jedi. Invading Imperial forces advance upon a quiet Rebel outpost, interrupting Kyle's training of a brave new Jedi, Mara Jade. First introduced in Timothy Zahn's award-winning Star Wars novel, Heir to the Empire, Mara Jade blends her past experiences as a one time smuggler and...

Played this and immediately remembered: yeah… this is one of those games. Weird controls, old design, questionable moments, but somehow it still pulls you in. Classic Star Wars jank, but with soul.
Yes, it's not LucasArts best work, but if you enjoyed Jedi Knight Dark Forces 2 it's a good way to add 14 missions to that game which will make a total of 35 missions. It's not a great expansion but i recomend it. It makes the game longer.
In my early childhood, right before school started, I had a CD called LucasArts Anthology and this game was on it. I tried playing it because I've thought that a shooting game should be easier to figure out, but I remember well that I couldn't beat even the first level and dropped it many times. After many years, I came back to finish this game, precisely the build from that CD back from my childhood, restoring it with some Steam files and tweaks for modern Windows and realized why it was unplayable back then. The difficulty in this game is inadequate, even on Easy setting the enemies have crazy damage, you have to save scum, but the main thing is that the level design is HORRENDOUS. I had to use YouTube guides a lot because all of those lanes and alleys are impossible to find, as well as what does the game want from you at some points in time. You can't understand crap. Minus one point for the last boss fight where you don't have to fight him directly but instead make him to stand on the same platform as you and then you have to sheathe your lightsaber, and for this the boss has to hit the elevation with his jump, because he cant walk on it, then go to you, and you need to have sufficient health for the final cutscene to trigger and not die one more time. It would have been better if I had never remembered this game since childhood. Jedi Knight franchise seems to be quite unlucky with level designers. But at the same time it's basically an ААА-game of that era — good plot for a 90s game, full voiceover, music, leveling system, but the gameplay is far from perfect. Maybe such level design and difficulty were normal back in the day, but I don't think so. 3/10
maps are bantha poodoo
A decent expansion for Dark Forces 2 that features more of the game's good old classic fps action and adds in many new things. The last few levels are super hard but still manageable imo. Like the base game I recommend playing this via the OpenJKDF2 source port.
Immersive old school Star Wars FPS, back from when Lucasarts focused on good storytelling, rather than what they create nowadays. BTY, it's really worth on sale, especially for those hardcore fans of the expanded universe.
cool game alittle old
Yeah skip that one, you just run around trying to figure out what to do and then they make Kyle weak...
This is an expansion with inferior maps compared to the base game. The first third of the maps are maybe the cut content maps that were too jampacked with stormtroopers and are kind of fun to play. The last third of the maps are some swamps and a temple full of the most annoying enemies I've had the displeasure to fight in an fps game. I didn't say shoot because you lose access to all the other weapons except the lightsaber. I swear those leaping panther things are almost impossible to kill reliably or maybe that was because I chose to level up the wrong powers. Recommended for masochists or big fans of the base game.
