If you are looking for the definitive "Battlefront" experience to play with friends, STAR WARS™ Battlefront II (Classic, 2005) is widely considered the peak of the series. While the 2017 reboot has better graphics, the 2005 original is still preferred by many for its sheer variety and modability. Why It Is a Multiplayer Essential The reason people still play this game 20 years later is the scale of the sandbox. It captures the feeling of being a single soldier in a massive galactic conflict better than almost any other Star Wars title. Galactic Conquest: This is the crown jewel of the game. You and a friend can play a strategic "board game" mode where you move fleets across the galaxy, buy new unit types, and fight for control of planets. Space-to-Ground (Sort of): You can hop into a starfighter, fly into an enemy hangar, sabotage their internal systems on foot, and then fly back out. It provides a level of freedom that modern shooters often lack. 4-Player Split Screen: On the original console versions (and the Classic Collection), you can have up to four people playing on one TV, which is a rarity for shooters today.
an oldie but a goldie
GOOD
Keeps black-screening during the Clone Pilot mission, nothing seems to have fixed it.
