I love being in a galaxy far far away. Nice game. 66/10
Recomendo.
I played the hell out of this game on the original Xbox. While this game feels a little clunky on PC, it's is still the greatest Star Wars game of all time. The maps, units, vehicle combat, and large scale battles are everything I want from a Star Wars game. 20 years old, still one of my favorite games of all time and I will continue to dunk on EA for their failed attempts at besting this masterpiece. ♥♥♥♥ EA, and watch those wrist rockets.
Amazing game, but the screen at the main menu isn't wide enough so i can play single player instant action other than that great game
I recommend this only because It's still better than the other games that want to nickel and dime you. Yes, this version was slapped together with (deliberate?) issues (to frustrate you into buying another product?). Those issues honestly aren't that bad though. I played a galactic conquest and the campaign, and the only really weird thing was that sometimes the AI will be completely idiotic (and that probably is just a holdover from the original edition, which I played for hundreds of hours). You'll also have to configure all of the controls (like the default to enter a vehicle is "enter," but the game UI tells you it's "E"). Thankfully, this is a game that does let you map every button and function. Being able to turn faster with the mouse does seem to break the AATs though (they almost fly off the ground when you turn fast, but the AATs were already too nerfed in BF II to want to use. Tanks were OP in BF I, but in BF II, even on normal mode every NPC is going to throw all of their grenades at you while you're just waiting for your weapons to cool down). The only really regrettable part of this port is monitor support. When you have multiple monitors, it's gonna pick which monitor it wants to run on, so you basically have to unplug the monitor you don't want to play on if you don't like the monitor it picks. It also isn't capable of ultrawide aspect ratios. Remember, kids. P1r8ing is bad.
Classic PS2 experience. Rock it as a Jedi, Sith, droid, clone, rebel, etc. Great replay value, and it's as old as YouTube so it'll run on your piece of s@$* rig
i love the game but it's not well balanced from a gameplay perspective. good for nostalgia or wanting to be a grunt of a clone or whatnot army but it's not really deep or anything. good for its time though but if it were released today, it wouldn't hold up to modern standards
