Even after so much time after it's release i bought it and it turned out fun as hell, the best thing is you're just a normal stormtrooper/clone/rebeliant/drone and lightsaber characters just aren't as fun
Best game I ever played back in its heyday, and still no.1 game I have ever played personally. It was just dang near perfect. Simple yet highly effective fun formula with little fuss. It even has Good Vs. Evil Hero fights in the Mos Eisley Cantina. Wompa Hunt mode on Hoth. Space battles with Boarding action. Galactic conquest mode. ''Select a Fleet to Command'' Near Perfect and way ahead of its time ! And all that with no loot boxes and DLCs and cosmetics. How Hard is it to just replicate that and do a proper remake ? Apparently this is impossible to replicate according to EA studios.

It's an unfinished and unpolished budget shooter from the mid 2000s, and yet we all love it. Not even a nostalgia thing, it is legitimately charming in visuals and sounds, and tbh it's still near the top of the list for games to play offline with bots despite how stupid said bots are. The Star Wars vibe is on point too, and Galactic Conquest is pretty unique as a gamemode. As a whole it runs surprisingly well on a modern system, though you should still be prepared for a lot of weird quirks. Like the resolution, you do get widescreen support but only for actual gameplay, the main menu will never change from its default resolution, and if you force it then buttons start to overlap in a way that makes them inaccessible. If you're not a Star Wars fan or don't reminisce for this era of FPS games, I suspect you'd be better off investigating a more modern indie shooter like Ravenfield, Angels Fall First, or Easy Red 2. Those are all games I investigated to fill my Battlefront 2 urges, ER2 was the one which stuck for me although it's really more akin to Battlefield 1942 in hindsight.
I'd love to say this is one game I enjoy to revisit, but I can't. Why? Because there comes a point, where I feel as though I've virtually done everything imaginable. Literally whole days spent on Galactic Conquest. (You can do that when your a Kid.) When you know virtually every In and out by heart, every Map, every shortcut thinkable, because you've spent arguably TOO MUCH time playing it. Leaving Me with little to no replay ability. But anyways, I still recommend it. New comers may enjoy the little things it has to offer compared to the new Battlefronts. One thing nice: It can be an enjoyable Single-Player experience alone. It's easy on your storage, and it isn't hardware demanding either. For the seasoned Players, It can be a nice jump into Nostalgia when you get the crave for it? But for some, like myself, it could die quick because you've done everything there is that CAN be done in the game. There is still a small multiplayer fanbase, that's one thing? If it's on sale, check it out.
Its the best their is plain and simple. It wakes up in the morning and pisses excellence
its fun
