it's so fun
Hell yeah
After the horrible launch of the “definitive editions” of Battlefront 1 and 2, it’s nice to know that I can go back to the original. Yes, I haven’t put many hours into this one as a different version I have, but it’s still an amazing game. Gameplay is about the same as the first game. Find an enemy, and fire your gun until they stop moving and yell hilariously. The AI in this game, I find, isn’t as brutally difficult as the first one, unless it comes to scenes from the films. Example: Hoth as the Empire is still a huge difficulty spike, because your units will rapidly deteriorate if you aren’t careful. (Skill issue, I am aware.) Space battles are new, and while they’re fun, I personally don’t go for them much because if you know how to cheese the ship destroying, it gets old pretty fast. That, and the AI on your team doesn’t seem to care about repairing any critical systems the enemy have destroyed. Where this game shines is the hero mechanic. Dispatch enough enemies, and you’ll gain access to a character dubbed a “Hero.” Characters like Yoda, Mace Windu, Darth Vader, even Palpatine in specific circumstances. It all depends on where you’re at. They’re easily the strongest characters you have, but only for a limited time. Bacta tanks don’t work on them, they regain health by killing enemies. Once the lightsaber goes out, that’s it. Back to the standard units. While you have them, however, it’s easily the most fun you’ll have. I personally like the Galactic Conquest mode because you have to be a bit strategic in what places you want to attack next. Take over a planet from the enemy, or take the fight to their ship. Build more and attack different points until you own the whole thing. Overall, I give this an easy 9/10. Amazing game, if a bit repetitive and a few difficulty spikes here and there.
The Best Battlefront
:)
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ peak dude
Watch those wrist rockets!!
