TL:DR ChatGPT, no kidding, told me this would be the third best game for me (since I already own the first two). And even though I would never have thought about this, here we are. Star Trucker is a labor of love. I cannot stress how well put together this game is and for under 10 bucks it is a steal. The only dealbreaker is that this game has no vr mode. What a huge shame that ist. With VR it would be worth the full price tag. I strtongly suggest to make the sequel bot a flat and VR game. It would be an instant buy. Other than that, I don't like trucking games, and I am not the kind of gamer who would adore Euro Truck Simulator or something like that. No offense, just not my kind of game. But this here pushes so many more buttons. Gameplay: You fly your truck in a very X-Wing way , feeling the weight of it in space. The truck has no lateral thrusters, so it flies like a car in space, resulting in a funny gameplay loop. It is easy to pick up but can actually be hard to master. It is a huge shame, this is not a vr game. Because everything you do ingame, begs for vr interaction. It may look unfun or sound unfun to be a space trucker but the game's mechanics are so well thought out that there is just enough to do to keep you hooked. Did you slam into debris from an astroid field, maybe there is an oxygen leck and you need to go outside in your shiny space suit to patch it up. There is much maintanance to do and then there are upgrade mechanics with skill points and a story you can follow. There is even a radio with a couple of live radio stations for gaming and it fits into the game organically. If you want to relax a little and test your parking skills, this is the game to go.
