About
Hop into the driver's seat of your rocket-powered big rig as you haul cargo, scavenge for salvage and interact with an eclectic cast of star-hopping truckers in this Americana-infused journey on the ultimate open road - space!

Hi, this is Monster and Monster. Star Trucker is our tiny indie team's passion project, and we’re committed to making it the best intergalactic trucking game we can. By listening to the community, we’re working hard to improve the experience with every update. So buckle up and join us for the long haul!

Your truck is not a starship. We’ve taken typical vehicular controls then made sure zero-g momentum played a big part in maneuvers. The result is a unique driving experience that’s easy to pick up yet hard to master!
Cruise the hyper highways, taking on a variety of jobs such as fuel hungry long hauls and hazardous drop-offs to earn cash and unlock new content.
And don't forget to monitor the CB radio for chatter from fellow truckers; it's a fantastic way to uncover side gigs and stay updated on galactic gossip.

Keeping your rig runnin’ isn’t always easy. You’ll need to keep your core systems online, gravity compensator spinnin’ and hull patched to prevent your cab from leaking lung juice.
Be sure to make pre-trip shop stops for replacement parts, and consider upgrading your truck at a local garage. These improvements are vital for safely navigating volatile sectors and ensuring timely deliveries.

Use the galactic map to plan your journey and warp jumps, while keeping an eye on your fuel reserves and power levels.
Once your route is set, kick back, crank up the cab hi-fi and cruise to a selection of original songs covering starburst blues, galactic rock and asteroid infused americana. The open road is waiting!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Even if stated that it supports peripheral controls, its totaly not what you think it will be. There are no axis support at all, its just full speed or no speed, nothing inbetween, so no joystick is really well useable at all. Doesnt make fun like that, even if its a great Idea. Input always feels like a hhuuuuuge delay, so you literally got almost no control.
I want to leave a positive review for this game. I really do. But I cannot in good faith recommend this game for a couple of reasons centered primarily around optimization. The story is great, the gameplay loop is great. As you can see I played it for 51 hours. I had fun with almost all of that. But the hoops I had to jump through just to almost get a stable 60 FPS (that frequently dipped down to 50FPS.) I honestly should not have to set a frame limit and enable Vsync in my GPU control panel, then in game set to exclusive full screen, turn vsync off, and then set the refresh rate to 60 just to actually get 60 FPS without screen tearing. As you can see by my specs I am above the recommended specs yet had to perform this ritual to get 60 FPS. But the optimization problems don't stop there. I encountered one bug in particular that absolutely decimated the flow of gameplay. There is a bug in this game that has existed for the better part of a year now it looks like where your truck will randomly become indestructible. Now the cause of this has two claims you can find out there on the internet. Claim one is that it's caused by long play sessions which I will admit I did have long play sessions. But I would frequently encounter this bug within 15 minutes of a play session. Now I don't know what people's idea of a long play session is but I certainly wouldn't say 15 minutes is a long session. Across my 51 hours of playtime I encountered this bug approximately 30 times. The only way to realize you have the bug happening is to bump into something you know for a fact should have damaged you and you happened to be monitoring your truck hull when it happened. So honestly this bug probably happened more than 30 times but I can only confirm the 30. Now to undo this bug you have to load a save. I like to try and keep my gameplay legit, having to deal with the consequences of reckless driving. So when a bug prevents me from having to deal with that consequence and I have to reload a save and repeat a trip I've already made in order to stay legit is incredibly destructive to an immersive gameplay flow. And on top of having to load a save and having to redo that route I'm now going into that route with more caution so I'm less likely to end up taking the damage in the first place. Sure this bug doesn't block gameplay progression and what not, but for those who want to 100% be sure they have played legit an indirect god mode that randomly turns on and you don't know it has turned on unless you are very closely monitoring your hull is not a good bug. Now I would be able to overlook this bug as a minor inconvenience. But I actually took the time to submit a bug report. I got an email back from a support agent who then had me email them logs from my session when the bug occurred, no issue there. That email chain has sat on "Waiting for an Agent" for about 2 weeks now. So no clue what is going on in regards to that bug being addressed or if it is even going to be addressed. The developers have very poor communication skills with their playerbase. And if this bug has existed as long as it has and the developers are okay with "Just reload a save" being a tangible solution then that is not a practice I am okay with. For these reasons I cannot in good faith recommend this game. The only saving grace it even has for me is the fact I bought it on sale. But honestly if I had noticed this bug happing as much as it was within my first 2 hours of gameplay I would have refunded it entirely. Unfortunately I wasted a big chunk of my first 2 hours just getting the frame rate to 60FPS so so I could even play the game in the first place. As a result of this by the time I encountered the indestructible truck bug I was beyond the 2 hour window. If you buy this game make sure it is at least 50% because anything less than that you are wasting money on a game that does not deserve being bought at more than 50%. I even enjoyed the game enough before I noticed the bug to spend another $8 buying the DLC for it.
I am uninstalling this because it is not worth what is being charged for the content and because sour candy broke my mission by radioing me and preventing my job waypoint from being able to be reselected from the job menu. had to abandon the job and trailer. f@#K you sour candy
Do Not Buy! This seems to be just a passion project for the Devs because they don't listen to their players. Same issues that plagued the game at launch are still there. Overly limited Stock in stores that leave you struggling for batteries, circuit boards and Air Scrubbers even in the tutorial (That you can't skip). as everyone else has said, how do you have a space game WITH NO LATERAL MOVEMENT AND NO MOUSE STEERING! HOW? If you go too fast and try to turn, you just turn and slide sideways. Strange how that issue is solved in every other space game except this one. This is just a vent honestly because I know the devs are just gonna ignore this like all the other reviews. Don't be surprised if they make lateral movement a DLC for $10.
this review is for TURBO TWEAKERS with no attention span: its the holy love child of euro truck sim, X4 Logistic style (for me anyway) and the entire emotion bs that is the movie Cars
Me dormi en un estacionamiento una hora, me quede sin energia y casi muero por falta de oxigeno, conduje con el traje espacial a la estacion mas cercana con una de las mayores tensiones que jamas senti, todo esto acompañado por musica de la radio. 10/10
it's like if american truck simulator met the trading part of freelancer and eve, settled down somewhere in the midwest of space, and had a beautiful baby who grew up and learned to fly and maintain space trucks
Ну если играть в нее просто на компе, то не впечатляет, нот вот была бы она для VR - был бы хороший визуал и играбельность. Если разработчики добавят в игру поддержку VR режима полноценного, то игра начнет восприниматься абсолютно по новому.
Star Trucker strikes a great balance of streamlining complex mechanics without becoming too arcade-like. Highly recommend.
