About
Hop into the driver's seat of your rocket-powered big rig as you haul cargo, scavenge for salvage and interact with an eclectic cast of star-hopping truckers in this Americana-infused journey on the ultimate open road - space!

Hi, this is Monster and Monster. Star Trucker is our tiny indie team's passion project, and we’re committed to making it the best intergalactic trucking game we can. By listening to the community, we’re working hard to improve the experience with every update. So buckle up and join us for the long haul!

Your truck is not a starship. We’ve taken typical vehicular controls then made sure zero-g momentum played a big part in maneuvers. The result is a unique driving experience that’s easy to pick up yet hard to master!
Cruise the hyper highways, taking on a variety of jobs such as fuel hungry long hauls and hazardous drop-offs to earn cash and unlock new content.
And don't forget to monitor the CB radio for chatter from fellow truckers; it's a fantastic way to uncover side gigs and stay updated on galactic gossip.

Keeping your rig runnin’ isn’t always easy. You’ll need to keep your core systems online, gravity compensator spinnin’ and hull patched to prevent your cab from leaking lung juice.
Be sure to make pre-trip shop stops for replacement parts, and consider upgrading your truck at a local garage. These improvements are vital for safely navigating volatile sectors and ensuring timely deliveries.

Use the galactic map to plan your journey and warp jumps, while keeping an eye on your fuel reserves and power levels.
Once your route is set, kick back, crank up the cab hi-fi and cruise to a selection of original songs covering starburst blues, galactic rock and asteroid infused americana. The open road is waiting!
Sums Steam only; Xbox, PlayStation, GOG publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Keep on truckin.
cool game relaxing yet captivating i love it
TL;DR:
Game is good if you wanna do something while listening to music. If you are familiar with trucker games, it's basically the same drive from point A to B and repeat with a side of "bullet hell" as you try to drive as fast as you can through an asteroid/rock filed without taking damage. There's.. a story I guess.. bleh. and the game will get repetitive. But, enjoyed most of my time in it while I finished 100% of the achievements. Edit: Forgot to add, played on "recommended" difficulty and with a controller.

Main Review
So if you come here expecting a trucking game, that's what you will get. Drive from A to B, pick up contracts, there's an xp/progression system and a story. Personally I found the story moderately annoying. The characters were unlikable to me and the objectives were usually terrible (looking at you,
billboard
). Also they don't give you anything at all for rewards, worthless. Stock up on cash and other items before thinking about starting the story line. You are obligated to do them for useful truck upgrades, zone unlocks and for achievements. Aside from that, they just felt like a pain unfortunately. "Kindly requesting your rig for a weigh in." *crazed stare* How about you kindly step on a Lego instead? Several, actually. >:( Man that message during the
reactor
quest annoyed me. Maybe if I had a "shorten dialogue" option, it might make it less bad. "weight check" and than silence. Or "security check" and then silence. Better yet: complete silence! Including the chatter at the weight bay. A UI pop up maybe. Why can the security drones interrupt story lines? >:( Also the weight waypoint should show up immediately.. not having to wait for Rosso to shut up. (Hot tip: 70 hours too late I realized "oh wait! forgot there's a dialogue volume slider." Setting that to 0% drastically improved the game. I didn't have any other story missions at this point anyways.) Also already annoyed by the fact that I have to physically go to 2 or 3 different locations just to check my achievement progress (paint jobs/plates etc). But then there's two that I was completely blind to on progress. the
25k in fines
and the
50k contraband
. So that was fun.... not. (btw the
contraband
one is not very clear..
you can sell the items wherever they are accepted/not listed as restricted and it counts. Can also buy form a store and sell that.)
Also rank 50 is such a waste of time... Salt in the wound: you can't even customize the color of the paint it unlocks. Game is over by level 34 or so. There rest is padding. But again, if you just want something to work towards while you listen to your own music, then this could use up many of your hours. Will I ever replay it? Nope. Unrelated side note: This game has so many "physical" buttons/switches/interactions that it feels like it was made for VR yet... that's not a thing. Nor has anyone figured out how to mod it to VR sadly.

Bugs:
- Had an asteroid destroy me when jumping from haze way to spark city. I read it was a common issue so haze way became no way for me since. (Probably avoid Gamma valley to tanktown too..) -
Sour fireworks
, works fine but there's a lot tasks named incorrectly. - Salvage beacons can spawn inside structures - You can grab a UDC/Battery behind closed panels and crates. - If you pick up some trailers, pause for a while and then come back, your cargo tends to implode and destroy itself. -600% I've seen. Not sure how to trigger it but usually have noticed it with multi trailer and pausing while in motion. - Is it intended that I need to turn off the main engines to keep my rig from drifting while sitting still in the cab or going outside? I feel like drive assist "on" should keep me in place, no? - Not super important but I think the "Complete Borrow side jobs" achievement triggered early. When
collecting the third trailer
. - the "pick up" objective in the final quest did not check. But didn't stop me from continuing. - I started a job once in Edgeburgh and the cargo was already damaged 88% trailer 97% glassware. not sure how that happened. Even reloaded save to before accepting job. - Accept a contract (then undock maybe), pause and walk away. Don't know how long. But if you do it for long enough, when you go to pick up the cargo, you will not be able to. Save and load fixes it. - Not a bug but would have been nice if
the other two rigs disconnected and went towards a jump gate or something after slowing down the reactor instead of just saying there.
. - Also... you can't accept multiple contracts and carry a combination of multi trailers. But... you can do it for one specific story mission? what gives? - Not sure if bug but when a character calls you to tell you there's new story mission available, it should NOT override your current haul/job focus. That's very annoying. - Not sure if bug. I passed by hell's pocket (bad idea) while collecting cones after being done with everything.
The special cargo you drop. there still has the objective marker and you can even still pick it up.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

i enjoyed this game so sooo much
Was Not Expecting This Game To Be This Addictive!! 10 hrs In And Cant Wait To Keep Going !!
its got a good concept but it needs a lot of work, i wouldnt recommend it in its current state as there isnt enough to keep you coming back compared to american truck sim. trucking in space is a very fun concept but one thing that holds this game back is the lack of 6 axis movement, youve got full rotational movement and forward and back, but no way to move the truck up and down or left and right, which is like, one of the most important things you need in a damn spaceship. i love the idea, but this game needs much more love than its currently getting.
