Но на деле большую часть времени ты будешь торговать запрещенкой, спекулировать на рынке товаров, таскать наркотики в галактическую тьюрьму и думать откуда прилетел этот сраный камень в тягачь, вследствии чего у тебя отвалилось половины системы грузовика посередине галактики, при том, что у тебя нет с собой запасных деталей так как ты купил дешманское пиво на все свои деньги и везешь его хер пойми куда. Star Trucker is a nice game that somehow does everything it can to make you hate it. I really want to love this game, but even after 1.5 years of last try, it still feels like the game hates me back. The concept is fresh, the game runs well, and I have not had major issues with bugs. There is definitely a good game hiding in here. Unfortunately, too many design choices constantly get in the way of enjoying it. Some of the biggest issues: There is no proper warning when essential device power is getting critically low. The economy feels punishing and often keeps you in debt no matter what you do. Too much time is spent replacing batteries and filters instead of actually enjoying the trucking. The debris warning takes up important screen space, but does not clearly show what you are supposed to avoid. “Hey, you should avoid this thing, but I’m not going to show you what it is. Good luck.” There are no hotkeys for the displays. I understand the intended gameplay mechanic, but in practice it just feels clunky and unrealistic. The positives are still worth mentioning: Runs well Not very buggy Fresh and interesting idea Great atmosphere when the game actually lets you enjoy it At its current state, I cannot recommend Star Trucker. I like the idea, and I honestly want to love the game, but there are still too many “what the hell?” moments that make the experience more frustrating than fun.
