About
Hop into the driver's seat of your rocket-powered big rig as you haul cargo, scavenge for salvage and interact with an eclectic cast of star-hopping truckers in this Americana-infused journey on the ultimate open road - space!

Hi, this is Monster and Monster. Star Trucker is our tiny indie team's passion project, and we’re committed to making it the best intergalactic trucking game we can. By listening to the community, we’re working hard to improve the experience with every update. So buckle up and join us for the long haul!

Your truck is not a starship. We’ve taken typical vehicular controls then made sure zero-g momentum played a big part in maneuvers. The result is a unique driving experience that’s easy to pick up yet hard to master!
Cruise the hyper highways, taking on a variety of jobs such as fuel hungry long hauls and hazardous drop-offs to earn cash and unlock new content.
And don't forget to monitor the CB radio for chatter from fellow truckers; it's a fantastic way to uncover side gigs and stay updated on galactic gossip.

Keeping your rig runnin’ isn’t always easy. You’ll need to keep your core systems online, gravity compensator spinnin’ and hull patched to prevent your cab from leaking lung juice.
Be sure to make pre-trip shop stops for replacement parts, and consider upgrading your truck at a local garage. These improvements are vital for safely navigating volatile sectors and ensuring timely deliveries.

Use the galactic map to plan your journey and warp jumps, while keeping an eye on your fuel reserves and power levels.
Once your route is set, kick back, crank up the cab hi-fi and cruise to a selection of original songs covering starburst blues, galactic rock and asteroid infused americana. The open road is waiting!

Space truckin'. What more could you ask for? Game is VERY polished and the systems are cohesive. A perfect relaxation trucker game - in SPACE! (smuggling too!)
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this game! If you're gonna try it keep in mind repairs are free until 80,000 miles. It's different than traditional trucking games. You have to keep out for small debris quite a bit, unless you follow the cleared out high ways. Anyway I like the story, the voice acting, and the game mechanics. Haven't beaten the game yet but I'm close. There's a lot of customization for the difficulty settings so you can play how ever you want. Upgrades feel meaningful. Cosmetic customization is decent but I feel there could be more. However, it sounds like the producers of the game are still adding stuff as of April of 2026 so this could change. I love the environments! I found the game quite pretty with the different nebulas, space stations, and asteroid fields! Each location feels different too with different shops, routes, challenges, and economic prices on products. If you're tired of delivering trailers you can buy products cheap in one location and sell in another, being your own merchant using your cab as storage. I do like delivering multi trailer jobs though. If you think backing up a trailer in 2d is hard, try 3d. You can get away without backing up trailers in this game luckily thanks to the 3d mobility of the space truck. One thing I found disappointing was the fact I can't hook up trailers for different jobs. You have to do one at a time. You can accept multiple contracts at a time though, just can't deliver them at the same time. You can also work on multiple story threads at the same time too. I like finding jobs that lead me close to the start of a new story job. There's also an EVA feature! You can find salvage floating around! There's also certain areas that flag certain materials as illegal contraband so if you want to live that fantasy of a smuggler that's an option. There's security checks, weight checks, warp gates, speed traps, etc. You can plan routes around said check points so there's strategy too. Overall 10/10

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Positive: A fun take on truck sim, I am not a driving or truck sim person but, this game has so many different micro mechanics and ways of making money. The Story is broken into chunks by the 6 NPCs who each have their own handful of missions that you can work on at your own pace. Truck driving is challenging but masterable (with assistance on) and very fun to learn. Constantly keeping your truck well maintained and routinely inspecting and replacing your wear items to avoid succumbing to the vacuum of space and bargain hunting/finding these items is well done; If you don't the urgency behind solving a problem is a whole different exhilarating experience. A great game at its full price; on sale, it is a steal that shouldn't be passed up. Negative: I finally finished the story but there is no DLC for new story or area. It's been a year since initial release, I hope the devs are cooking up something because I am craving more.
I need to find a mod for movement for this game in order to play it. as an avid space game enjoyer, moving in space without 6 axis movement is very frustrating.
Pretty big disappointment... -Very small maps with a warp gates
This game overall is very well designed and you can tell a lot of thought went into the different elements of gameplay. It's a very satisfying loop of upgrading, purchasing and completing jobs, made much more enjoyable by being able to complete more difficult loads or longer journeys. It feels rewarding to keep your rig up-and-running by managing fuel, power, gravity, climate etc and the different sectors of space with different temperatures and hazards make it feel more of a challenge. The graphics are beautiful in my opinion with some of the junctions in the solar provinces looking absolutely majestic. One small complaint is that it can be very easy to screw yourself over, which can end up in massive fines or a long grind just to get financially stable, but if you are prepare well and with a bit of experience you can become very efficient at avoiding any common or inconvenient troubles.
