Over all, my wife and I really enjoyed the game. The story, graphics, humor, and the co-op game play were all great. There were some rather annoying aspects if you make the decision to back track to collect things from the previous stages. Namely the fact that you have to go through all the dialog again. The story is good the first time around, but we found that feature to be just a bit frustrating. Kudos to the devs for their walk through of explanation of mechanics and features, although replaying previous stages does force you to go through it again. On a side note, we were able to play through the game in its entirety in Fedora 41 KDE Plasma (Linux) for anyone interested that uses Linux.
I have a problem. An obsession with Star Trek, and for some reason, a desire to 100% games. Those are the only reasons I played this. It's tedious, monotonous, and frankly boring. Game play, story, etc. nothing good to say about it. Its time I wish I could get back. This game is a great example of the burdens of fandom.

it's pretty awful, i got it for £2 that's the only acceptable price for this lol. playing alone sucks because the other character gets stuck all the damn time and there's invisible walls on every level. for some reason the game resets my settings every time i boot it up. finally it's just repetitive asf with cringe voice lines, ik it's a kids game.
As much as it pains me to say, "Star Trek: Prodigy - Supernova" falls short of the stellar expectations set by the iconic franchise. This animated series, intended to introduce younger audiences to the vast universe of Star Trek, unfortunately fails to engage even the most dedicated Trekkies. One of the most glaring issues with "Supernova" is its lackluster storytelling. The plot feels contrived and uninspired, relying heavily on tired tropes and clichés rather than the bold exploration of new frontiers that Star Trek is known for. Characters are one-dimensional, with little depth or development to speak of, making it difficult for viewers to invest in their journey. Furthermore, the animation style leaves much to be desired. While it's understandable that the creators aimed for a more accessible aesthetic to appeal to younger viewers, the end result feels cheap and hastily produced. Character designs lack detail, and the animation itself is often choppy and awkward, failing to capture the grandeur and majesty of the Star Trek universe. But perhaps the most disappointing aspect of "Supernova" is its missed opportunity to impart the values and ideals that have defined Star Trek for generations. While the series pays lip service to concepts like diversity, inclusion, and exploration, it does so in a shallow and superficial manner, failing to truly explore the complexities of these themes or challenge its audience to think critically about them. In the end, "Star Trek: Prodigy - Supernova" feels like a half-hearted attempt to cash in on the popularity of the franchise without putting in the effort to do it justice. While it may hold some appeal for very young viewers who are new to the world of Star Trek, longtime fans are likely to find it a disappointing and forgettable addition to the canon. I'm gonna leave this one instead of changing it. Who knows why I made a CHATGPT review of this game. I don't do this anymore though.

Lara Croft Guardian of Light, but with Gwyn and Dal. I confess I hate the tv series (I love Lower Deck better) because the crew are lack of character. However, I've change my mind after I've seen what stunts (for puzzle solving) Gwyn and Dal can do in this game. The crew are cool.

I completed this game in couch co-op due to it being star trek and reviews comparing its co-op to the lego games. That is... sort of true? But it is slightly misleading as you play the same pair of characters the whole game. That's not the worst thing in the world, but the plot and general bugginess make this an unappealing prospect at any price. I am not familiar with the show, but the plot of the game didn't make much sense. I was never sure if system slayer / drednok were the same person, and there was a section where everyone referred to "drednok 2" and I'm still not sure if that was intentional. The writing is also pretty bad in ways that will irritate science fiction fans, as the star in this game is going to go supernova due to a dyson sphere, but the energy is siphoned to facilities on surfaces of planets which are, according to the game, not tidally locked. This physical impossibility is just one example; there are many more, but for the sake of brevity I will move on. The game is pretty buggy and generally unpleasant to play. We experienced instances where characters would get stuck during animations requiring a reset of the level, context sensitive prompts that would bug out, an extremely noticeable untextured wall, and instances where characters would walk on air or be unable to dash across gaps. This is exacerbated by the combat ending animations; not only is the final hit in slow motion, but after every fight the characters do a little animation which is long enough that it is annoying, and will prevent you from picking up any health that dropped during the fight. There are a couple fun puzzles near the end of the game and the final boss wasn't bad, but it was too little too late for us. I do not recommend the game under any circumstances, even if you are a trek fan. If you have your young children play this, they will probably still be disappointed.
