Reviews
Abandonware, and glitchy so that replay-ability is still gambling on giving up your agency and exploring actually playing the game in order to time specific actions at specific times in the hopes that you get a set of stories or techs unlocked that makes the end game possible, let alone enjoyable or anything resembling the star trek universe as you know it. Since there are no presets to start at a later era, if you wanted to more recreate TNG, DS9, or VOY feels, you better perform actions in the first few years, explore and pick the exact same actions of the ENT crew and story, hope that the right techs drop, and hope that even one thing goes wrong by RNG. I've tried three playthroughs to see later stories, and still ended up with never researching whole ships (End game fleet had only Mirandas, Galaxys, and Intrepids.), or being at a level where the federation could hold up in wars, or see the Kingons or Romulans completely wiped out, etc. Honestly, somehow the ST mod on Stellaris is better at all of this. You're much better off getting vanilia stellaris and using the ST mod which is in the workshop for free.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I really wanted this to be good. I was willing to wait, let updates and stuff build up and make it good. It wasn't and they're never supporting this. Honestly I'm just disappointed, not mad.
This is a buggy unfinished abandonware and is basically a poor Stellaris mod, they promised to fix and improve upon it but then they just took the money and ran
Do not buy. This game was abandoned weeks after it was published and is a broken state. As I understand it, there was a sale of the development studio, then a subsequent abandonment of the project by whoever purchased the dev studio.
This game was abandoned way too soon. It was unfinished at launch and the updates brought it closer and closer, and then wham. It's over.
I preordered this game because I enjoy Stellaris and the Star Trek universe. I knew at the start it was basically a reskinned mod of Stellaris but was okay with that. The reason I was okay with that was that I hoped the developers would mold it into its own game over time with updates and DLCs. Paradox has shut it down, and the game is now abandoned with no future work.
I love Star Trek but these guys just took the money and ran. Abandoned without a lot of what was promised. A definite no.
There really isn't much to say about this. Sure, it may be "unfinished" and "abandoned." But even then, what is here? I actually like some of the changes to mechanics and interface over Stellaris, but I refuse to believe this was ever going to "be good." It continues the fetishization of resources without being able to transform one into the other. Technology being dependent on RNG instead of logic. Having this massive interstellar nation that hinges on a handful of specialists...what is this game? Was it ever playtested? Then, it has the audacity to limit you based on your faction. Klingon? Hope you love your worlds randomly deciding how loyal they are. Federation? Hope you enjoy not being able to go on the offensive against your 3 peer-level threats. Who greenlit these decisions? Vast swathes of my playtime were just sitting around on autopilot, waiting around until my arbitrary 10-year truces let up so I could go back to ending the threat of the hostile powers around me, genuinely screaming as every 10 seconds a new notification pops up, because that's what being a leader is to these types of devs. You are the supreme authority, so decide what each world builds, where, when... I hated my time with this game.
It's boring. They took Star Trek and made it boring. It's entirely a skin of Stellaris Lite and it's awful. Move along.
Yeah, they tricked fans of the Star Trek universe and then just abandoned it. ♥♥♥♥ these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
