rip-off that never got support, don't buy it
I had really high hopes for this. Originally marketed as a Stellaris-like game that would bring back the spirit of Birth of the Federation. What we got instead was a reskin of an already outdated version of Stellaris. Although there was some promise, it basically just is identically the same every time. Progression doesn't quite make sense either. For a Star Trek game that is supposedly a fan service it makes no sense to progress from TNG to TOS and back. It's basically like non-fans made the game and just tried to cash in on the sentiment Trek fans have. It doesn't help that after launch there were very few updates with the last one being just a couple month in with a message fans recognized immediately as an abandonment. It's despicable that this was just a cash grab by a greedy developer. If you're looking for a Stellaris-like game with Star Trek vibes, just get Stellaris (even just the base game) and check out one of the many excellent Trek total conversion mods. It's clear that the developers tried to copy and paste a lot of the work the community has done, but they bungled that despite the work being basically already done. Definitely stay away from this.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

All though it Star Trek the game has limitations. The fact that they released this game as a Quick grab for money, and not doing updates is a major let down to all star trek fans. There are many bugs in the game-play system that will never be resolved, Its that bad even the modding community has gone stale.
Fun: The game captures the essence of Star Trek with its strategic depth and iconic factions, but falls short of fully delivering the experience fans expect. Holding You to the Game: While the overall style and feel are enjoyable, the game lacks the polish and complexity of older strategy titles. It’s fun for a while, but the limited scope leaves you wanting more. Many Enemies to See: The factions and enemies are true to Star Trek lore, but the lack of variety and challenge over time diminishes the excitement of encounters. Nice Scenario: The visuals and Star Trek theme are fantastic, offering an immersive experience for fans. However, the world feels too small and doesn’t live up to the potential of the franchise’s vast universe. Extra Depth: The game has great potential, but it desperately needs updates and fixes to expand the gameplay and address the current limitations. With improvements, it could become the strategy game Star Trek fans have been waiting for.
Game didnt make it 3 months.
You want to know the simplest and best way to describe Star Trek: Infinite? It's the PS Vita of video games. Pushed into the world, bright eyed and full of potential, and then promptly dropped into a closet and forgotten about like Harry Potter if he never became a wizard. I've pushed myself past the point of reasonable to like this game. Ultimately, it's not worth it. It's an overpriced demo for Stellaris, basically, and will never see any support again. Go buy Stellaris and install a few mods, it'll be more fun than waiting a literal fifteen minutes for this to load into a single game again.
One of the biggest disappointments of my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ life. This game was (slightly) unfinished at launch and got abandoned while full of promise.
Had some potential, but abandoned right out of the gate. Play Stellaris instead and get the New Horizons mod from the workshop. 100X better Star Trek game with actual development.
Abandonware - no updates for 2 years, none coming
