Genuinely my favorite game ever. I am forever upset it didn't meet its monetary goals as its genuinely one of the most charming gameplay experiences I've played in the past decade. I can only hope the devs can get back to it in due time. Everyone deserves to experience this joy of a game.
As much as I would love to recommend this game I cannot. It tragically didn't receive what it needed to keep up development and was abandoned. Only 2 of the 4 episodes were completed of this game on what felt like a bit of a cliffhanger. Its great but it will never be finished.
this game is boring as ♥♥♥♥ - Kratos unjolly Verde
what a delightful game. Funny dialogue, funny microgames, cute aesthetic, I can't get enough.
wario ware but for goths
SPOOKWARE is a fun Warioware inspired game with good humor, fun microgames, and an intriguing story. I have not finished what is currently released of the game (currently on Chapter 5) but I have enjoyed every second. Each chapter mixes up the microgames just enough to keep it fresh (different theming, new context for each section, etc.) The one thing that would make me hesitant to recommend the game is that it is currently not in continued development, with more chapters listed in the level choices that just... have not come out. The devs released a notice a little over a year ago that they have "paused" development of SPOOKWARE due to a new project and lack of funding from the previous publisher. They have the IP rights back from the pub, but no news for the game's future yet. It is pretty disappointing, considering I love how the game looks and feels, seemingly tells good story (again, we're still missing puzzle pieces here), and incorporates horror elements that made my hairs stand up on the back of my neck sometimes, while still keeping it light and full of humor. Over all, it's a very good game. What's out right now is great, and I hope the devs come put a nice bow on the remaining chapters that have yet to release.
