READ THE FINE PRINT, people. I sure wish I had before buying this. This game has been inexplicably abandoned. They've decided to not release the final two chapters, leaving this game half unfinished and without an ending. Still on the chapter select screen, though. Just to taunt us?
One of the saddest cases of abandonware.
Great game that was sadly abandoned halfway through development, showing the problem of a chapter system. If you like microgames, you should play it. Due to the length it feels more like a short collection of ideas than an actual game. You can finish it in an afternoon.
I greatly enjoyed what I got to play and there was way more content then expected for a game like this, however despite this I find it hard to recommend this game to anyone seeing as it's been left incomplete with no plans from the developers to finish it. If this were to be finished this game would be a must buy for anyone, but till then I'd recommend holding out for future warioware-likes. But the music's great though :)
Fun game and good vibes, but sad it got abadnoned halfway through. Get it if you are willing to deal with it not getting an ending
Man it was such a fun game. I do not even want to give it a bad review. It just that the game is unfinished with having only 2 episodes with 4 episodes in total. It is said that the last is 2 supposedly being DLC but the reality is the developer doesn't get the budget from their publisher to finish the game. If you really want to play this then go on. It is great but unfinished.
After replaying Spookware two years later, it's still disappointing to see that it's been completely abandoned. At least it's half the price now I guess.
Do not play this game if you have poor eyesight or have not memorized the positions of the keys on your keyboard. Chapter 4 uses exclusively the keyboard for it's microgames, but the time limits are FAAAAAAR too strict for anyone who needs to look at the keyboard while typing like me. I got road-blocked hard, and even the in-game assist couldn't help me much
Unfortunate the game will never be finished
Genuinely my favorite game ever. I am forever upset it didn't meet its monetary goals as its genuinely one of the most charming gameplay experiences I've played in the past decade. I can only hope the devs can get back to it in due time. Everyone deserves to experience this joy of a game.
