Fun game, but not even 3 hours long. $10 is kinda steep for 3 hours. Especially when it's a free game on mobile. I can't recommend it when they're blatantly ripping off PC players, but, I will say, It was some silly arcade fun with zero crashing.

peak. one might even say absolute cinema.
之前在手机上玩过,现在移植到了电脑,非常爽,挑战模式一挑七,嘎嘎爽就对了!
If you found World or Warplanes and War Thunder and DCS a bit too onerous, this game may suit you better. It's a tad more archadey than those games, and is easier to learn. The graphics are pretty decent, the presentation is polished and the music is nice.
This is not a big time flight sim like MSF. I have had good luck with this game, and find it fun to play. Not remotely complicated, I would love to see a come-back of some of the older games such as Starlancer, for example. The less complicated the better. especially if you don't have the time to wast figuring out how to play. KISS!!!!!
Sky Gamblers: Storm Raiders is a World War II aerial combat title developed and published by Atypical Games that successfully captures the excitement of historic air battles through an accessible yet engaging gameplay style. Rather than focusing on deep flight simulation, the game embraces a cinematic approach that allows players to jump into intense dogfights while still offering enough tactical depth to make every mission rewarding. Set across famous theaters of war including Pearl Harbor, Midway, the English Channel, Germany, and occupied Europe, the game recreates iconic conflicts with a strong emphasis on action, atmosphere, and large-scale military operations. The campaign delivers an impressive variety of mission types that help maintain momentum throughout the experience. Instead of limiting players to repetitive aerial duels, objectives frequently shift between escorting bombers, intercepting enemy squadrons, attacking naval fleets, protecting friendly installations, carrying out bombing operations, and eliminating strategic ground targets. Some scenarios introduce environmental hazards and unique challenges that require careful flying rather than simple firepower. This diversity keeps the gameplay engaging and reinforces the feeling of participating in a broader wartime campaign rather than a disconnected series of missions. Flight controls are one of the game's strongest features because they balance simplicity with satisfying mechanics. Beginners can quickly become comfortable piloting aircraft, while experienced players can take advantage of speed management, positioning, altitude, and maneuverability during combat. Aircraft respond smoothly to player input, making aerial engagements feel dynamic without becoming overly technical. The result is a game that is easy to learn but still offers enough room for skill development as players become more confident in the cockpit. A wide collection of aircraft inspired by real World War II fighters and bombers further enhances the gameplay. Every plane offers its own handling characteristics, encouraging players to experiment with different styles of combat depending on mission requirements. Fast and agile fighters excel during dogfights, while heavier aircraft provide greater firepower for bombing missions and attacks against naval targets. This variety prevents combat from becoming repetitive and gives players multiple ways to approach each objective. The visual presentation remains surprisingly attractive despite the game's age. Detailed aircraft models, expansive skies, realistic water effects, dynamic weather, smoke, explosions, and large battlefields work together to create an immersive atmosphere. Flying above oceans filled with warships or diving through anti-aircraft fire during bombing runs creates memorable moments that successfully capture the scale of aerial warfare. The environments also help distinguish each campaign location, giving every operation its own identity and visual style. Sound design contributes significantly to the overall immersion. The roar of aircraft engines, the rapid bursts of machine guns, and the thunder of explosions all complement the fast-paced action. Musical themes add a dramatic tone without overpowering gameplay, while battlefield audio helps create the sensation of participating in massive military operations. Combined with the visuals, the soundscape reinforces the game's focus on delivering a cinematic wartime experience. Multiplayer extends the game's replay value by allowing players to challenge others in competitive aerial battles. Facing human opponents introduces greater unpredictability than the campaign's artificial intelligence, encouraging players to refine their flying skills and combat tactics. While the online community is no longer as active as it once was, the multiplayer component remains a welcome addition for those who can find matches or organize games with friends. Despite its strengths, the game is not without flaws. The artificial intelligence can occasionally behave in predictable ways, reducing the challenge during some missions. Players seeking an authentic flight simulator with highly detailed aircraft systems, complex navigation, and realistic flight physics may find the experience too arcade-oriented. Certain interface elements also reveal the game's mobile origins, though these rarely interfere with the enjoyment of the core gameplay. Overall, Sky Gamblers: Storm Raiders succeeds as an entertaining World War II flight combat game that prioritizes excitement over strict realism. Its combination of diverse mission design, enjoyable aircraft handling, visually appealing environments, and accessible controls makes it an excellent choice for players who want thrilling aerial battles without the steep learning curve of a hardcore simulator. While it may not satisfy aviation purists, it delivers a consistently enjoyable action experience that remains appealing years after its original release. Rating: 8/10
This is a really cool and addicting simcade style combat flight sim that mixes arcade style with realism. The only issue I have is that in the main menu, all the planes are blacked out and missing their color which I know is a technical glitch. Aside from that, In game the planes work fine and aren't blacked out as they have their normal color. I just hope this game gets updated and optimized for windows 11. It would be cool to see an update for this game
