Best spongebob game ever made

Never played the original so not nostalgic for this but it was a fun game although one or two levels were a bit boring 6/10

A great remake of my childhood game. The gameplay is fascinating from the first minutes, and the game itself just doesn't have time to get bored by the end. The game got a second wind for me after playing it on the Steam Deck, where it feels great. If you are a SpongeBob fan, then you definitely should complete this game.

If you like(d) the show you'll like the game. If you like exploring or going at your own pace this game is nearly perfect for that. If you want a game that doesn't take itself extremely seriously then this is for you. This game is pretty atmospheric and the music is great, and the ambience is fairly good. The gameplay is centered around a "lobby" area (which you begin the game in), where you choose mostly freely where you want to go next. Areas are never permanently locked and you are encouraged to explore / think outside of the box. Some fights or puzzles are relatively difficult, but overall the game is definitely on the easier side. Game was made in UE4, looks very nice, and performs amazingly with my hardware, but there are some nitpicks I could make relating to surface smoothing and prop placement. However those don't outweigh the previously mentioned good sides of the game.

Battle for Biki Bottom Rehydrated is a competent 3D Platformer Collectathon with a few notable flaws. The numerous "Shiny Object" gates are a bit frustrating, often requiring grinding to have enough for everything. This is particularly an issue because nearly 10% of the games Golden Spatulas (Mario Star equivalents) are obtained through just purchasing them with Shiny Objects. Other than that gripe, the game is pretty good, with most of the original TV voice cast reprising their roles being a standout delight. Unfortunately both Mr. Krabs and Mermaid Man do not have the original casting, and stick out like a sore thumb because of it. Important note: Multiple achievements for the game are bugged, including the one for destroying one of every type of robot, and the achievements for collecting all spatulas/socks/total 100%. If an achievement bugs, you apparently have to start a second save file and collect extra collectables to make up for the game failing to track some.
