About
You have been personally selected by the mayor to save the city of Split from unreasonable housing prices! Over the course of the following year, and on a tight budget, you'll have to use all the tools at your disposition to buy as many houses in the name of the city as you can so that they may be rented for cheap. That being said, there are a lot of people who would rather you fail in your mission... And besides, grandma ain't gonna visit herself, right?
The game is mostly played with the mouse, but it also uses the keyboard a little. Most of the game is reading the local newspaper and using your knowledge to find the best deals on a map. Once there, you will have to gauge if the price is too high, low, or if you want to try and haggle with the owner of the property. Manage your turns well and you will be victorious!
There are also RIVETING bossfights to break the pace by testing your skills on the keyboard through challenges, or testing your wits with mind boggling questions and choices.
A short, simple game made as a hobby. Nothing very ambitious, but made with a lot of heart.
The game isn't too long, one play-through takes somewhere between 15 and 30 min. That being said, it is unlikely you will beat the game on your first try.
The game is filled with jokes and memes.
Even though the game is singleplayer, it is also a very enjoyable experience with friends. Sharing the joke is always a good time.
A fun, satirical take on life in the Balkans. Try to spot the references and just have a good time overall.

It's much simpler to play than the Steampage images suggest. We have to lower the rental price by buying as many properties as possible to rent them at social rates. Time and budget are limited. There are also some random events and mini-games. It's a festival of memes and references, with short runs and for the unbeatable price of free.
⠀
If you don't believe in the power of proactive local government in battling rent hikes, play this game.

I may be a failed realtor in this game but even that experience of failing countless times eggs me to continue on. I see things in a new light now after spending some time on here. All kinds of people selling and buying, punks in the alleyway's trying to rough me up. This is life. This game is free and shows you what life is all about...... robbing people short of cash :)
This game changed my life The gameplay loop is very easy to understand but hard to master Once you understand the core mechanic you start to appriciate the overall feel and the "vibes" of the game I loved my time playing this game and i will continue to play the game into perpituity 7/5
I'm currently doing a challenge to play through a free game in every single category on steam. I then give an honest review using ChatGPT.
Game: 147 / 447 Category: Conspiracy This game is barely interactive. You play as a real estate agent trying to tank the housing market and out-buy a rival company, but there’s almost nothing to actually do. It’s mostly clicking through shallow, meme-filled dialogue that tries to be funny but falls flat. There are “random events,” but that’s generous—there were maybe three in the whole game, and none of them had any real impact. The gameplay loop is dry and repetitive, and just when you think it’s over, it hits you with a final boss: a broken DDR-style rhythm mini-game that isn’t even on beat. Miss three notes and you're instantly kicked back to square one. No retry. Just game over. That ending alone kills any goodwill the game might’ve earned. It’s not clever, it’s not fun—it’s just frustrating. What could’ve been a quirky satire is instead a boring, undercooked mess with a cheap shot at the finish line. Hard to recommend this one to anyone.
Hey, YOU! Have you accidentally stumbled upon this steam page and are wondering why you should spend your time on this? Let me tell you, This game has so much heart and soul in it, it puts most games in my library to shame. The game is clearly a passion project by a few guys who wanted to make a cool game about their hometown. Is this the most polished game? No. Is the gameplay loop the second coming of Slay The Spire or XCOM? No. Is the soundtrack existent? Barely. But it has that charm that you can only find in projects of this size- the pixelated images, the wild shifts in gameplay and tone, the ideas that clearly exist because one of the devs said: "Hey, wouldn't it be funny if we did X". And the others went: "Hell yea dude!". It screams experimental and fun, and if you are tired of design by committee slop the industry puts out daily, I strongly suggest you try this goofy game. In short, It's a bit like Dark Souls.
I played for two hours, now I can't get a refund.. Oh wait it's Free! Split Times is a surprisingly well made game for a first time project by the dev. The intro cutscene sets the stage for the game and you really have to be an idiot not to figure out the essential gameplay. Which is why I flopped three times in a row. The developer has generously included a "How to play" for those developmentally un-inclined. The humor is spot on and many of the jokes are accurate to the real living experience of Split. My favorite character is the granny. Even in a game I cannot tell the baki to ♥♥♥♥ off with her annoying banter.. but I got a free house for it. I can't say the same about the broader pop culture references which to me feel out of place. But I think they would be more appreciated by those who may not get the Split relates humor. The visuals.. are truly something. The UI looks like it's comprised of MS paint speech bubbles and clipart stolen from PowerPoint. That may sound like a complaint but it's in fact not. There is a unified sort of childish crudeness to the art that really makes it work. The visuals are strongly complimented with the orchestral sound track. We have Croatias national anthem as the menu track and a midi on loop for me main game. Split Time feels like a 2006 flash game, something you'd find on 24Sata or IgreIgrice. I highly recommend this masterpiece of a retro gaming experience. It may not be the most tripple A, most polished, most intuitive game.. but Its oozing with authenticity and atmosphere that reflects real life in Split in such an accurate and comedic way. It's a passion project and Its worth experiencing at least once... ♥♥♥♥ It's free too... so like.. try it. xoxo In addition to that I am highly pleased with the Windows XP optimization. It really makes the game feel at home. Unfortunately this game is not available for PowerPCs. If you are an Intel Macintosh user, you'll have to Bootcamp it.
