AVOID!!!! FAKE LOOKING REVIEWS! TOTALLY BROKEN GAME! After a very short period I realize the happiness and arcade rating system is completely broken. To the point that it literally halts your progress in the campaign. After discussion searching you see several posts with multiple comments spread out throughout time with people also asking about vendor/happiness/ratings with very very weird answers from the dev.. or none at all. Seemingly you are stuck running vendors at a loss because otherwise they only make people unhappy. you HAVE to pick more expensive ingredients (even though the slider in the vendor settings doesn't even make it clear that's what it is, I only know this after seeing comments from the dev in the discussions) and sell them much lower than your cost or they make people unhappy with literally everything about them. This will tank your reputation as well and prevent visitors from arriving while also making it impossible to make enough money to expand or, like, even really play the game. They are set up in a completely non sensical way. It's like the dev completely overthought this mechanic into trying to make it complicated and just ended up breaking it instead. To make it worse it's not really clear in game that providing a "variety" of goods would mean multiple vendors of the same items that just have different pricing options set. Like how would anyone ever think that is supposed to serve as variety? But in the discussions that's what the dev is telling people to do.... even though that makes no sense at all, and even after you do it, you still have variety and food ratings of 0%. In fact in the earlier levels the areas are so tiny that it would be literally impossible to add 3 or 4 vendors of each type as you don't even have enough room for that, let alone any room to, like, ya know, build the arcade in the first place. So even if it's just a weird mechanic not done well, it still doesn't add up because how are you supposed to build 6-8 vendors in a level that doesn't even have the space for it in the first place? So even the devs comments in the discussions make zero sense at all. So right now I have no way to progress and earn my ranking objectives and thus no way to unlock the next, larger, levels. So the game is completely deadlocked at this point and no longer playable. I guess I could try sandbox mode but who knows if that will work. Most of the achievements are tied to playing in the campaign mode so you're missing out regardless. After checking the other reviews I also noticed tons of 2 or 3 sentence reviews from accounts that have no activity, only ever left one review, etc. It looks extremely fishy to me after playing this and seeing how broken it is. So something in general feels really off about this game and I would avoid it at all costs.
Great game for a super cool price! If you like tycoon games you will love the Arcade Tycoon!
Honestly, The game has a simple yet effective concept. It is a fun and colorful management simulation game that lets you build and run your own arcade center, turning the experience into something truly enjoyable. It offers simple but engaging gameplay, easy to understand mechanics, and visually appealing graphics that perfectly match the game's style. With a good variety of arcade machines, staff management features, and customization options, the game remains entertaining and relaxing from start to finish. For me, this game is easy to recommend , give it a try and don't miss out on the fun.
Enjoyed the game... it gives the retro vibes with the pixelated graphics. I can finally be an arcade owner in-game XD It is pretty fun managing all stuff, trying to keep customer happy and the place running good without getting bankrupt lol. Tutorial was pretty easy to understand... overall, i like the game... chill arcade simulation
Much better than I expected. The pixel-art style is charming and there’s a lot more depth than just placing machines. The gameplay runs smoothly and the management side is fun, though it can feel a little repetitive during longer sessions.
Fun and addictive tycoon sim where building creative arcades, managing staff, and keeping customers happy creates a rewarding gameplay loop with charming visuals and satisfying progression.
Would love to see more machines added in future updates, but even now there's enough to keep you busy for a while.
A really solid management game with plenty of machines and fun challenges. There’s a lot of variety, and the progression system makes it rewarding to keep playing. Some upgrades feel a bit too expensive early on, but overall it’s a great strategy game.
This is a nice game with quite a few bugs. Loading in often fails. The game crashes a lot. If you get past that you have a nice little basic business game running what most of us probably dreamed as children, an arcade. If you're having trouble at the start of this game, forget being the nice guy, you're there to survive. You'll probably get thieves thrown at you, machines abducted etc which hurts at the start. Sell them the worst food at the highest prices, charge more for your subpar attractions. The rent is only going to go up, but once you get the basics it's rinse and repeat on bigger maps. It was a shame the final map was so small, I really wanted it to be like the images on the Steam page, some mammoth you can expand and make a dream arcade but that's for sandbox it seems.
HAD ONE SMALL BUG EARLY ON (nothing game-breaking) but aside from that its been smooth. Devs seem to care which is nice!! Loved it
