Spirit Talk - Cozy Visual Novel

Después de un par de horas de juego quiero compartir que da mucho gusto ver el trabajo de un humilde estudio de mi ciudad llevado a la realidad. Una obra artística donde todos sus componentes son artesanía pura, que nos envuelve en una atmósfera muy relajante.

This is a really beautiful game that treats grief with care and respect which isn't always the case with a supernatural premise. The story is very emotional game, but it never plays on your emotions in a cheap or easy way (imho). There's enough walking around and minigames that there are satisfying breaks from the visual novel format, and the art is animated to make the game feel fluid and alive. The wlw representation is really great to see as well, and it is treated with care in the game. It's a wonderful game to play! After playing the demo, I offered to help bug test and review the English translation, so I received a key for testing. If you notice any spelling or grammar mistakes please blame me instead of the devs!!

Es una novela visual corta, pero muy emotiva. Me ha gustado mucho la diversidad de historias que tiene, y no voy a mentir diciendo que no se me ha caído alguna lagrimilla. Spirit Talk ha sido una sorpresa muy agradable. Es una aventura tranquila, entrañable y con mucho corazón, de esas que consiguen hacerte sonreír mientras juegas. Lo primero que me ha llamado la atención es su apartado artístico. La estética dibujada a mano, con personajes expresivos y escenarios llenos de encanto y detalles, y la combinación de ilustraciones, animaciones sutiles y esa atmósfera tan acogedora hace que sea muy fácil sumergirse en la historia. Pero para mí, la narrativa es uno de sus puntos fuertes. Más allá de lo sobrenatural, el juego trata temas como la pérdida y el duelo con una sensibilidad e inteligencia emocional admirables. Consigue transmitir emociones sin resultar pesado ni dramático, dejando espacio para momentos divertidos y entrañables. También me han encantado los pequeños guiños a la cultura popular, con referencias que me sacaron más de una sonrisa. Son detalles que aportan personalidad y cariño al conjunto. Además, me parece un juego muy accesible para peques o para personas que no suelen jugar videojuegos. Los hechizos son sencillos de realizar, las mecánicas son intuitivas y muchas de las pistas se basan en palabras fáciles de identificar, por lo que incluso puede servir como una experiencia compartida con niños que estén empezando a leer. Otro aspecto que he valorado mucho es que se siente inclusiva de forma natural. La representación está integrada con normalidad en la historia y contribuye a crear un mundo amable y acogedor para todo el mundo. En definitiva, Spirit Talk es una experiencia cálida, bonita y muy humana. Un juego perfecto para relajarse, conectar con sus personajes y disfrutar de una historia que trata temas importantes con sensibilidad, humor y mucho encanto. Lo recomiendo sin ninguna duda.

A cozy and relaxing game. It's reminiscent of games like Coffee Talk, but more laid-back. Recommended for a light and easy read.

It's comfy. But I did cry a bit. Good balance of feels.

Unas historias preciosas <3

It was fun but I only did one playthrough. I didn't see the epilogue or anything but I'm satisfied. It is expensive I'm not going to lie and repetitive and a little frustrating cuz I could only 15/21 achievements without really paying attention but it's touching and touched my heart which is what I like in these kinds of sentimental sweet not so hard visual novels. It's very good but it is expensive. I say it's worth it maybe on sale if you are lazy and don't like to get all the achievements.

A beautiful visual novel, with a delightful story. The images are all hand drawn and are just lovely. Keep in mind this is a visual novel, there are not many game play elements involved, so if you are not keen on a cozy read, this may not be for you. I thoroughly enjoyed the progression, story and magical elements. I recommend this lovely visual novel for anyone who wants a beautiful and slow journey through love, loss and the afterlife - it plays like a warm cup of tea <3
