Spider Solitaire F

As much as I like Spider Solitaire, this version is not it. Now, the game plays fine like most Spider Solitaire games out there and the graphics are quite nice. However, the biggest drawback to this game is the lack of mouse support. Why the developers decided to forgo it in favor of keyboard and controller support is beyond my comprehension. Spider Solitaire games made for PCs should always have mouse support by default as without it, the controls become a lot more clunky and user-unfriendly. That's the main reason why I gave this game a negative review. Is it because the developers think that mouse support in a Spider Solitaire game is anathema to them? Because that's just silly and inexcusable. Unless there's a patch to include mouse support in this game, I'll be sticking to the other Spider Solitaire games out there for free that actually have mouse support and hopefully don't include bloated adware like what Micro$uck did with their version of Spider Solitaire after Windows 10 was released.

This game, even at a budget price, has two major flaws: 1. no mouse control whatsoever makes playing incredibly tedious, especially after the first few "easy" puzzles 2. the game's not coded for a sane windowed mode unless you either use Unity command lines to force specific resolutions or just give up and play fullscreen, because if you don't play according to the ratio the developers worked in, UI elements don't align and the screen may cut off entire rows of cards It's also a set of 100 preset puzzles to be solved rather than an endless generated title, but frankly, that's not a DEALBREAKER so much as UNDERWHELMING. The first two are the real killers. Avoid.

This kind of game is only good when you can use the mouse, which...you can't in this game for some reason. I'm going to try to get a refund. I don't recommend it.

After 16 hours I have successfully completed every level to unlock all the achievements. There are 100 different preset games you have to complete. Ten rounds were easy (one suit), twenty rounds were normal (two suits) and seventy rounds were hard (four suits). The game has some very relaxing music along with different ways to change the theme (after completing an achievement). Overall rating 6/10. There were two things that made the game a bit more frustrating which was the lack of mouse support; so you were forced to use the arrow keys and press enter to click. The other problem was not being able to play at full screen but only in window mode.

I love Spider Solitaire. Sadly the only thing this version has to offer is janky controls. You cannot navigate with the mouse - only with Controller or Arrowkeys - due to that it's terribly uncomfortable.

I really enjoy this version of Solitaire, I actually find the use of the keyboard a lot easier than a mouse. I'm not sure what people are complaining about with that.. I can also play windowed or FS. So thats fun. 100 levels of cards. It's a good game to pass the time.
