The gameplay is super entertaining and fun. Spells are easy to cast. Music is great. I like the combination of gameplay, art style and music. Spells are casted directly with your hands which is incredibly satisfying. I like drawing spell after spell while trying to save myself from all of the opponent’s flying magic coming directly to my face. When you are able to play versus an experienced opponent, magical duels are super intensive and insane - I like this very much! I totally enjoy being a comic book wizard. If you haven't picked SpellPunk up yet then you owe it to yourself to do so.

Man merkt das es noch in der EA ist manche Zaubersprüche wollen nicht funktionieren oder es kommen andere Zaubersprüche raus. Grafik ist ganz ok könnte aber noch mehr wumms vertragen, das man z.B. merkt das man den Gegner auch getroffen hat. Super cool game for all of us - magic lovers! Every time I am casting spells I feel powerful, like a real wizard! The spells are fun, easy to learn, easy to cast and look stunning! I am totally into the comic book art style of SpellPunk. I have played different spellcasting games, but this is the one I truly admire. Drawing spells directly with your hands makes you feel like a archmage. Do not look further, I will be happy to duel with you! 😉

This game has a wonderful aesthetic and is fun. The gesture-based spellcasting does, indeed, make you feel like a wizard (I did have some trouble getting it to activate reliably, but I suspect that's a personal issue given my abysmal art skills and similar problems with games that used "draw a shape" mechanics on the DS back in the day.) The potential is huge here, and I'm excited for where this is going. However, if you're not into PvP, there's not a great deal of content at this time-- just a tutorial and a handful of AI bots. It is, however, still early access, so we might see more down the road. This style of gameplay almost begs for an adventure mode-- maybe featuring Metroidvania-style exploration where finding new spells allows you to clear obstacles and advance? You -can- dodge incoming spells and as far as I can tell there's no stick movement. You don't need full roomscale, but make sure you have enough space to move and duck to either side.

a great spells game with an offline mode solo great and a great multiplayer and a looks comic books i love and we can now turn and walk free locomotion on beautifull arenas i hope more bots and more magics but i recommend for sure

fun gameplay, but the spell gesture detection is a bit funky (especially with the shield spell, i can't seem to get it right on a normal basis). 100% worth it on sale

I totally love this game. It is super fun, entertaining and addictive. I like its aesthetics and comic book art style. Every time I play it I feel like a real magician.

Playing on a decent rig and the game can't keep a steady framerate even on low settings. Just stutters a lot. Maybe the game doesn't like Vega, but it doesn't run well at all with my Vega 64 and R5 5600X Spell gestures were not consistent even when it wasn't stuttering. Maybe a pass until the game gets better optimized.
