Great game - loving it so far. It stands out as a deck-builder/lane-defense indie, and the wide range of enemies, mechanics and spells make for a lot of options when playing a run. I've really enjoyed the Day/Night cycle and the amount of things to do at night was a lot of fun. The days are intense and I love how fast-paced the gameplay is. On top of all of this, it's clear that a lot of time and effort was put into the art style and soundtrack of the game.
Great game, it's a really unique deckbuilder where you're crafting your deck during the day and fighting enemies during the night. There's some fun archetypes to explore (walls that block enemies from moving, extra damage, status, pushing, etc). The enemies themselves are random each night, and some can mess up your build, so it's important to diversify your strategy and not be a one trick pony. Unless you're a really good one trick pony. Each round in combat you have a limited amount of time for your turn, and the aesthetics are kind of minimalist, but it actually only makes the game more immersive as you're slinging spells left and right. Discovering the various areas during the daytime can be a lot of fun too, and I enjoyed the worldbuilding and FMV elements way more than I thought I would. In short; just grab the game, it's a fun time and worth it!
I really like the way the game's mechanics work together! It's simple, but very effective, and looks / plays great. Really can't go wrong with such a cheap price, either, especially if you like deckbuilders and thinking on your feet. The music is excellent, too. This was all-around a delightful 2025 surprise! 9/10, no real downsides other than its simplicity.
Great! Lane-based roguelike deckbuilder. The 80s theme is done very well and the whole game drips with charm.
What a unique and wonderful little game! Addictive lane defense gameplay that feels perfectly balanced and nostalgic 80s theming with a compelling air of mystery.
$6 Steal, if you like roguelites this is probably for you. It may look a little confusing, but it's not hard to learn. 8/10 Would be a pro hacker again.
Fun Game, some real time, but not enough to make me panic, just adds a bit of AP prevention.
Really enjoying this so far!! I like how the battle gameplay is faster pace and engaging compared to other deckbuilders, the intensity really makes you feel like you're furiously hacking once you get in the rhythm and understand your spellhacks and their synergies. The day portion of the game is a nice way to take a breath and upgrade your deck, and scanning locations and doing the events is a fun way to go about that. It's been fun to see the different events pop up and find new ones. During the night, there's a good variety of enemies with different abilities that present different challenges that keep things interesting. Aesthetically I'm really digging it too. The mixture of live action and retro gameplay is very well done here and hits a few nostalgic notes for me from my childhood: Playing DOS games, playing on a CRT monitor, and the live action bits peppered in remind me of games like Myst/Riven and really add to the intrigue. I love the little bits of worldbuilding sprinkled in as you play through and hints of greater mysteries. The sense of humor in the writing is on point as well. The music is great and fits the vibe well without being obnoxious or distracting (I'm someone who finds themselves often muting games with repetitive background music and I wasn't feeling that at all here). The simple control scheme is perfect and allows both fast paced gameplay and the ability to easily play with a controller or Streamdeck in a more relaxed environment. I played with both controller and keyboard, both feel great but honestly enjoying keyboard gameplay more than I was expecting because it really adds to feeling like a hacker once the game is getting intense! Really excited to play more and see what else you come up with!! Really great stuff here.
A wonderful experience at a low price with a demo to check if you'll enjoy it. An easy recommendation to anyone who likes deck builders that make you have to think, and act, fast while also considering the semi-random nature of getting. You can't force decks given you have semi-random spells and a few ways to remove spells but no guarantee that the deck will become what you want, the trick is to let the deck build itself while doing a bit of pruning to get a good deck. The visuals and theme are both very fun and pleasant.
Very fun game for quite a few playthroughs. Very accurate nostalgic style.
