SpeedRunners 2 is a high-speed multiplayer platformer where rival superheroes face off in breakneck races using parkour, grappling hooks, and game-changing power-ups. Fall behind, and a shrinking ring of fire eliminates you – until only one runner remains.

just stick to the first one. they reskinned the maps to look more modern and flashy added 2 new items a plasma blaster and a lightning boost but it dosesn't come up frequently. its just the first one with an annoying announcer you can't turn off and WAYYY less maps. i was expecting a new take of variety with the maps or some sort of new mechs/ movement. just stick to the first one. this sequel missed the mark. also what is up with the music? it was off. also when the screen gets smaller the fire effect was really coool but then like the third and fourth time and on it was just worse. you can't even focus on the track because your eyes are being blasted by light. i reallly love this game but honestly i feel like the devs could have done a better job then lets reskin the old game and throw some new characters in. 2 items an annoucer and less content than the first game. man feels bad.
Should be called Speedrunners Remastered, and the small amount of maps are mid. But, I still recommend it for $10.

games great with friends and like even without like its fun i havent played the original so it might be better but this game is great
i was playing for an hour or two and i close the game and i lost all my progress? i hope this is a bug and they fix it.
As someone who's played Speedrunners religiously (on console mainly), I can't say I recommend this. The game's UI, soundtrack, and menus have certainly improved, and the new items are welcome, but it's too little to justify a whole new title. It runs well, and they also have good accommodation for crossplay. That's where my praise stops. The gameplay is hard to keep track of because the characters and the background look too similar, the new maps also lack the quality of the maps in the first game. This is just my personal complaint, but the game also lacks the zany and silly qualities that made the first game endearing. The new characters are uninteresting and bland, and you have to listen to their godawful voice-lines near constantly. The amount of content out currently is also unimpressive. The first game mogs this sequel to death at the moment, and they need to do some work to justify this title's new existence. However, I'm sure this game will improve over time if they keep updating it. I'd recommend it if you're sick of the old game, but otherwise I'd recommend waiting until they find their groove with this game.
Just way worse than the first one. The menu sucks and controller support is awful.
not good
Cluttery visuals, clunky movement and nothing really new. Play the original for now at least, needs a bunch of updates to maybe be good.
If you enjoyed speedrunners 1 get speedrunners 2, I promise you its still a very fun party game. Most people are basing their review on nostalgia and are mad that it isn't the exact same game as speedrunners. The game is still super fun and I highly recommend, all the negative reviews are dumb dont listen to them
