SpeedRunners 2 is a high-speed multiplayer platformer where rival superheroes face off in breakneck races using parkour, grappling hooks, and game-changing power-ups. Fall behind, and a shrinking ring of fire eliminates you – until only one runner remains.

I purchased this game because I thought it was going to be like the first but with better graphics and I was wrong. I've been trying this out from the playtest, demo, and now the official release and I am not pleased with this remake. I played the first game primarily for the multiplayer options and have not tried out the story but I won't bother because the physics, lights, design, everything just gives me "Fortnite". They Fortnitified the game and I'm not sure why. When I downloaded the demo and entered the game to be greeted by Cosmonaut Comrade in an arms folded pose who's looking to drop beats, I was genuinely embarrassed. My biggest problem is the movement physics and the input delay the game has. It feel clunky and in no way as fluid as the first game. This has in no way has the similar charm that OG Speedrunners has. I played that games for years, on my dads account when I was 9, on my own account when I was old enough to have one, up until now with my first child. This game was a huge part of my journey, the fanbase, the niche, the charm, I loved it all. Save your money and play the first game instead. This game isn't worth the $9. I can get more satisfaction out of a quick-fix candy bar than the ability to play this game long-term.

Solid 9/10 Ignore all the bad reviews, this game is fantastic and is half the price of the original. The music is the same and they added additional songs, I don't understand why so many people are hating on the music and reviewing poorly because of that. I got a 7 person lobby with my friends going and we were laughing the entire time and it was great, definitely reminded us of the first game. We played for hours at a time and its just a blast. There are a few "cons" but to be honest, they can be mostly ignored because the game is $10 and the bugs will hopefully be fixed soon. But for the cons: - can't do spilt screen and play online which - some of the doors and accesses that open/close get buggy and if you hit them the wrong way you either get stuck or get launched backwards which will definitely make you lose - they took away the roulette wheel from custom matches in the first game and item selection (they took away triple rockets too) - sometimes if you're at the very front of the screen, this weird bug happens where you just die - when you grapple at certain areas, you and the person who was grappled get stuck and can't move - cannot edit trails once you're in a lobby and you need to exit back to main menu BUT aside from those, the game is still amazing and definitely worth the price, hoping that the developers fix the bugs soon. Highly recommend if you're a fan of the first or even if you just wanna give it a shot.
this game is fun ALTHOUGH there is a reason that the review score is mixed, game is unfinished, expect that high input delay online that is less of a problem if this is your first speedrunners game (like me) but if you are used to the original the controls online will feel like garbage (if this is your main problem w/ the game just get dart mod) campaign is a joke, writing and all, enters "so bad it's good" territory though but still, have found myself playing this A TON and really like it, it really just needs some polishing up/ new features to be a great game written 9/6/2026 (2 am)
Game feels like a blatant cash grab and is worse than the original in almost every way apart from the graphics. The campaign is littered with spelling and grammatical mistakes and overall just feels ai generated. The graphic settings feel like they make no difference to how the game looks. Low and High look almost identical with the only difference being the framerate. I was getting 40-60 fps while on high and >350 fps on low.
Just buy the first game, massive disappointment!
every single negative review has less than an hour of playtime
I bought this game to play with friends, and a week after release and trying countless solutions, the multiplayer for this multiplayer game still doesn't work at all. What's the point if you can't play with friends?
