I'm giving this a thumbs up because the program is exactly what it says it is. It is a series of four roller coasters in various fantasy settings. One is great, one is very good, one is interesting, and one is pretty dull. It could use some coaster sound effects, but the music is good and the graphics are first rate. Note that this is not an interactive experience. You sit in the car and ride the coasters that are provided. The whole experience takes less than 15 minutes. Of course you can ride them as many times as you like without having to stand in line like at an amusement park. Hopefully we will get more coasters over time.
This 'game' is more of a collection of roller coaster style rides in a variety of locations. The problem and why I don't recommend it is the rides are fairly dull. They feel slow-paced and not exciting enough. I've already played NoLimits 2 and several other standalone roller coaster rides which outshine this "Speed and Scream" collection. It really should be titled "Move Slowly and Yawn".
One of the better "VR coaster" experiences out there. The focus was clearly on quality over quantity, and it shows. Great show-off piece for VR newbies!
Disappointing rollercoaster with sharp, sudden turns that will trigger some feeling of motion sickness in even the most hardened VR user. The 4 tracks are not entertaining, with only the horror map providing a single events as the ride progresses and even that "spooky effect" happens over your shoulder causing you to have to look back awkwardly while trying to balance in your chair. There are also no options for changing the volume of the music or even for closing the application once you've finished. There are better free rollercoater rides out there - like AirCar which allows you to fly around freely. One other generic problem with VR controllers (I used the Oculus) is that the selection pointer follows the vertical direction of the handle instead of following the horizontal direction of the trigger facing - basically if you hold your controllers like a firearm it points upwards instead of forwards, meaning you have to angle your wrist downwards quite sharply to point straight ahead. While I recognise this is a common failure of most VR hardware design it's something developers need to understand and provide options to counteract.
Four roller pretty dull coasters in various fantasy settings.
