[h1] Der “Allan Quatermain” unter den Abenteuerspielen [/h1] [b] Wie ein B-Movie: [/b] Wenn “Indiana Jones” ein A-Movie unter den Abenteuer-Filmen ist, dann ist “Allan Quatermain” ein B-Movie des Abenteuer-Genres. Ebenso verhält es sich zwischen den Adventure-Spielen “Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis“ und “Flight of the Amazon Queen”. Ein B-Movie und auch ein B-Game können aber durchaus unterhaltsam sein. “MojoTouch” hat das Abenteuerspiel “Flight of the Amazon Queen” als 25th Anniversary Edition hier bei Steam veröffentlicht. [b] Die Geschichte: [/b] Wir spielen den Piloten Joe King. Joe und sein Mechaniker Sparky sollen die berühmte und schöne Schauspielerin Faye Russel mit ihrem Flugzeug “Amazon Queen” zu einem Film-Set fliegen. Ein Unwetter führt zu einem Absturz der “Amazon Queen” über dem Amazonas Dschungel. Im Dschungel warten so einige Gefahren. Allen voran ein verrückter Wissenschaftler. Der böse Gegenspieler Dr. Eisenstein schmiedet im Amazonas Dschungel Pläne die Weltherrschaft an sich zu reißen. Sein Plan: Mit Hilfe von Dinosaurier-DNS will er eine Armee aus Dino-Mensch-Hybriden erschaffen, die ihn unbesiegbar macht. Also muss Joe nicht nur einen Weg aus dem Dschungel herausfinden, sondern auch gleich die ganze Welt vor einem Verrückten retten und dessen üblen Pläne vereiteln. [b] Grafik / Ton / Rätsel: [/b] Die Original-Version ist vom Look and Feel ein klassisches Point & Click Adventure aus den 90er-Jahren. Die Pixel-Grafik erinnert an Adventure Spiele von Lucas Arts, daher kommt einem auch aufgrund der Optik als Referenz “Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis“ in den Sinn. Das Spiel hat eine deutsche Sprachausgabe. Diese hat kein Spitzen-Niveau, passt aber ganz gut zu diesem ganzen B-Movie-Charme. Die musikalische Untermalung ist im Großen und Ganzen okay, allerdings hat mich in der Tempelanlage auf der Faultierinsel die Musik so genervt, dass ich die im Menü ausgeschaltet habe. In der Hintergrundmusik war irgendein ganz nerviger Ton, der mich an eine Art Signal- oder Pfeifton erinnerte. Später habe ich die Musik wieder aktiviert. Die Rätsel sind für Adventure Experten eigentlich gut machbar, dennoch habe ich an ein paar wenigen Stellen mal eine Komplettlösung zu Hilfe nehmen müssen. Das soll aber keine Kritik an den Rätseln sein, die durchaus sehr genretypisch und klassisch sind. [b] Die 25th Anniversary Edition [/b]: Vom Grundsatz her hat “MojoTouch” eine Anniversary Edition analog zu den “Simon the Sorcerer” Spielen aufgelegt. Es gibt einen Filter, der die Pixelgrafik glättet, eine Hotspot-Anzeige und ein neues Menü. Allerdings treten auch dieselben technischen Probleme auf. Beim Aufruf des Spielmenüs friert der Bildschirm schon mal gerne ein und man kommt dann nur weiter, wenn man über die Tastenkombination “Alt+Strg+Entf” den Taskmanager aufruft. Dann öffnet sich das Menü und der Taskmanager kann wieder geschlossen werden. Da man die Originalversion von “Flight of the Amazon Queen” auch kostenfrei im Internet zum Download erhält und das Spiel dann gut mit ScummVM spielen kann, benötigt im Grunde niemand diese Version. Es sei denn man möchte das Spiel unbedingt in seiner Steam-Bibliothek haben. [b] Fortsetzung: [/b] Es wird aktuell an einer Fortsetzung gearbeitet "Return of the Amazon Queen". [h1] Flight of the Amazon Queen: 25th Anniversary Edition [/h1] Adventures of 2021. The year is 1949 and you take on the role of Joe King, a hired pilot who has to fly Faye Russell (a famous movie star) to the Amazon jungle for a photo shoot. Of course, things never go according to plan. After a series of unfortunate events, the two find themselves in the heart of the Amazon jungle. Here Joe goes in search of a kidnapped princess, and along the way he encounters dangerous temples, fearsome Amazon warriors and a powerful mad scientist who wants to take over the world! (editor) This point & click puzzle adventure is from 1995. I think it's good that they made this game playable in a pretty way, even for modern PCs. BUT, there is an annoyance in this game. But first of all, big praise for the plot and the lyrics, they are a successful pastiche. Hilarious to shoot, with plenty of references to films we all know. A really well made game. If you plan to create 1,000 saves or play the game until it's finished, or just watch another player and then play it in parallel. For him and for him alone it is highly recommended by me. The graphics and sound are just old, so don't expect the usual. The controls are small and each has its own switch. There is a lot of clicking in this game. There is no help which is the biggest problem with the game. The level of difficulty is not exactly easy. There is a 21 hour "Let's Play" by someone who probably knows the game very well. As he plays it flawlessly and purposefully. You can find it in English on Google. Unfortunately I didn't look at this beforehand, which I don't do with any game, normally. After 5 hours of play, I was annoyed to find out that I made a mistake with one monkey in the game that can no longer be corrected. It's been 4 game hours since this error occurred. What crap? what shoud that? So now I have to play the game from scratch. However, I will not do this. Instead, I'll downvote it and move it to the "oblivion" trash can. Failed due to gameplay. Es ist das Jahr 1949 und du nimmst die Rolle von Joe King ein, ein anzuheuernder Pilot, der Faye Russell (ein berühmter Filmstar) für ein Fotoshooting in den Amazonas Dschungel fliegen muss. Natürlich verlaufen die Dinge nie nach Plan. Nach einer Reihe unglücklicher Ereignisse finden sich die beiden im Herzen des Amazonas Dschungels wieder. Hier begibt sich Joe auf die Suche nach einer entführten Prinzessin, und währenddessen trifft er auf gefährliche Tempel, furchterregende Amazonas-Kämpfer und einen mächtigen, verrückten Wissenschaftler der die Welt an sich reißen möchte! (Herausgeber) Dieses Point & Click Puzzle Abenteuer ist von 1995. Ich finde es gut das sie dieses Game aufgehübscht spielbar gemacht haben, auch für moderne PCs. ABER, es gibt ein Ärgernis in diesem Game. Zunächst aber Mal ein dickes Lob für die Handlung und die Texte, sie sind eine gelungene Persiflage. Zum schießen komisch, mit reichlich Anspielungen auf Filme die wir wohl alle kennen. Ein wirklich gut gemachtes Game. Wer vor hat 1.000 Speicherstände anzulegen oder das Game so oft zu Spielen bis es durch ist, oder halt nebenbei einem anderen Spieler zu zu schauen um es dann paralel nach zu spielen. Für den und nur für den ist es sehr empfohlen von mir. Die Grafik und der Ton sind halt alt, also erwartet nicht das gewohnte. Die Steuerung ist kleinteilig und für alles gibt es einen eigenen Schalter. Viel Klicken ist angesagt in diesem Spiel. Eine Hilfe gibt es nicht was das größte Problem an dem Game ist. Der Schwierigkeitsgrad ist nicht gerade leicht. Es gibt ein 21 stündiges "Let`s Play" von jemanden, der das Spiel wohl sehr gut kennt. Da er es fehlerlos spielt und zielgerichtet. Findet ihr in englisch auf Google. Leider habe ich mir das nicht vorher angeschaut, was ich bei keinem Spiel mache, normaler Weise. Nach 5 Stunden Spielzeit musste ich verärgert feststellen das ich bei dem einen Affen im Spiel ein Fehler gemacht habe der sich nicht mehr korrigieren lässt. Dieser Fehler liegt 4 Spielstunden zurück. Was für ein Mist? was soll das? jetzt müsste ich das Spiel also komplett neu Spielen. Ich werde dies jedoch nicht tuen. Stattdessen werde ich es negativ bewerten und in den Mülleimer "des Vergessens" verschieben. Wegen dem Gameplay durchgefallen. Was ich sehr schade finde. The original is an amazing game. This edition - not so much. It boats with "enhanced" controls and visuals, yet the "updated" visuals look so, so bad - all blurry and hard to digest. Looks more like a downgrade for me. The new controls also are bad. I was expecting something like an action wheel that Full Throttle had to replace the numerous action buttons, but no, the "enhanced" controls do not have that. There is an addition of skip dialogue button, but it's another disappointment: instead of skipping just one line, it skips the whole dialogue. Furthermore, if you happen to click the skip button while hovering over some active spot, in addition to the skip action, the usual right-click-action-on-hotspot would trigger. The good thing is that most of the "enhancements" can be disabled. But you know what, the original Flight of the Amazon Queen is available for free for a long while and can be downloaded at ScummVM site. That ScummVM itself can be used to run the game - it would offer snappier menus for saving (has quick save and quick load buttons). It also has an option to skip just one line of text and an option to enable fast walking. All absolutely free. This is clearly a cash-grab utilizing an otherwise wonderful game. Pitiful effort was given into this edition. If you haven't played this game and you like the genre, you should definitely give it a go. For free.

This is a classic adventure released in 1995, altough you not have to expect something like an RTX remaster in graphics, the improvements are noticeables and much appreciated compared to the old pixel graphic style. As always, like in any graphic adventure, the main focus goes to the puzzles and i can say that here we have very good ones, the level of difficulty is average, with few spikes on hard on some of the latests, but most of them are quite logic. Personally i don't like the hot spots revealer function, because i think the pixel hunting is a part of the difficulty of an adventure so this will help a lot, but it seems is a new tendency of many modern adventure games now. As an optimization in this new version i would have appreciated is if there could have been the option of fast travel inside a location, sadly you have to walk all around the way to the exit, while an instant exit to the next location with a double click would have been awesome. In the sound options i recommend to select AdLib because you'll ve the best sound with that. The humor is of a good kind and is well spreaded along the game and will make you do more than a few laughs. If you also consider that the price for this game is very cheap i not see a reason to not buy and enjoy this classic gem. My Final Score is [h1] [b]79%[/b] /100 [/h1]

This so-called "25th anniversary" is lacking, I was unimpressed about it. Otherwise, there's nothing more a slightly tweaked freeware game. I had (apparently unrealistic) hopes for an improved interface, because it just isn't there. The graphics are similar, the controls felt actually worse than what I played in the past. The core of the original game is still what it was 25 years ago, nothing wrong with the core game. Is it worth the tiny price to pay? Sure, for people who struggle to install SCUMMVM on their own and for having this game in your steam library.

Aventura gráfica clásica (point & click) de ciencia ficción del año 1995 que mezcla culturas antiguas con tecnologías avanzadas al estilo Indiana Jones, lamentablemente es una desconocida perteneciendo a una época donde el protagonismo se lo llevó Lucasarts mientras el resto de desarrolladoras luchaba por destacar, junto a muy poca publicidad y una trama más adulta de lo que triunfaba por entonces. La historia es más interesante de lo que parece al principio, sobre todo el tramo final muy bien elaborado, gran parte de las situaciones se resuelven mediante diálogos (algo muy acertado) y el uso de objetos es coherente (pero eso no le hace un juego fácil), algunos puzzles lógicos y mecanismos que necesitan varios objetos nos ocuparán bastante tiempo, la música es agradable y cuenta con voces (en inglés) que mejoran mucho la inmersión, las escenas animadas aunque hoy en día no sorprenden están bien trabajadas. Esta versión es una remasterización (25 aniversario) que nos permite algunos cambios como el modo panorámico (estira la imagen, no hace magia con un juego 2D), cursores más modernos aunque sin salirnos del estilo SCUMM (selecciona verbo y objeto) que no son perfectos pues el click no siempre funciona donde debe (en pantalla táctil de la Steam Deck muchas veces tendremos que repetir acciones) y un filtro visual anti-pixel que me parece horrendo. Recomiendo muchísimo probarlo si somos aficionados al género, es divertido, largo, bastante original e incluso se permite ciertas escenas que son guiños a otros juegos/películas, y lo hace todo más o menos bien, además el ser un clásico de verdad siempre tiene un plus de nostalgia que se siente en cada pantalla.

[h1]Я планировал лишь обед и кино.[/h1] Flight of the Amazon Queen - игра старой закалки в жанре Point-and-click, она является эталоном этого жанра, в которой единственный минус в пороге вхождения, уровень сообразительности должен быть 100 из 100. Сюжет в этой игре что-то второстепенное, ведь смысл в её геймплей, когда хочется сдаться бросить игру из-за того, что нельзя вырвать клочок шерсти катаной. Пройти игру не возможно без гайда, ну или попробуйте, но в этом и шарм игры, когда решение той или иной задачи лежало на поверхности. Если вам хочется посмотреть на что-то старое и хардкорное, то это то, что нужно.

Flight of the Amazon Queen, ein klassisches Point&Click Adventure im Stile der Lucas Arts Adventures aus dem Jahr 1995. Erreicht zwar nicht zu 100% das Niveau von Lucas Arts, aber das war seinerzeit auch fast unmöglich. Dank ScummVM heute noch bzw wieder spielbar und es lohnt sich definitiv sofern man sich auch nur einen Hauch für die guten alten Adventures mit Retro Pixelgrafik interessiert.

Recomiendo el juego por el precio que tiene y por que tiene cosas realmente buenas aunque por desgracia tiene dos puntos demasiado negativos a mi parecer. El primero es el inventario, hay cantidad de objetos que no caben en él y hay que estar pulsando la flecha para que se vayan desplazando uno a uno, por lo que se pierde demasiado tiempo en localizar el objeto que buscas en cada momento y eso ralentiza muchísimo el juego. El otro punto negativo que a priori podría parecer una ventaja es la inmensidad de los escenarios, esto sería muy bueno si no llega a ser por que no puedes pasar de mapa en mapa con un doble click, hay que caminar y caminar para llegar de un punto a otro y se pierde mucho tiempo ahí también, escenarios vacíos que podrían eliminarse para llegar antes a los objetivos. Todo esto hace que una aventura gráfica que podría ser excelente tenga un incremento de la dificultad abrumador a consecuencia del tiempo que se tarda en llegar a una zona para realizar una acción concreta y ya ni hablo de el tratar de combinar objetos uno por uno, se tarda demasiado. Obviando todo esto es un gran juego teniendo en cuenta que la primera versión salió en 1995 y al precio que tiene es una muy buena compra.
