Space Rift - Episode 1

It has great grphics, very immersive, no motin sickeness as I pulled mad crazy g's going up down lef right around asteroids...well optimized...I give a lot of credit to these devlopers because a gtx 970 can pull this off while I play other trash claiming it needs a gtx 980 ti and gtx 1070/1080 nto run 1/2 these graphics. BUY THIS GAME VR SPACE FIGHTERS

At first I wanted to recommend this game; I actually enjoyed it a lot. However, the fact that it still has no sequel or announcement of one, combined with its far too abrupt ending, made me reconsider. As of now: 4.5/10.

Just tried out space rift and i gotta say i have played alot of vr sims, vr space sims, they were all good and immersive but more like demos, space rift is the first that has a story good voice acting comfortable background music and immersive ,i highly reccomend this to anyone with vr headgear 10/10 can,t wait for the next episode keep up the good work can't wait for episode 2

I have played Space Rift during the beta, and I loved it. I usually get dizzy from VR games, after 10-20 minutes, but somehow I played this one straight for 1,5 hours. Well crafted, satisfying gameplay. It feels like to sit in an actual cockpit, turning around quickly, pressing buttons and feeling important… and there’s many small things to try out and to play around with. I definitely haven’t reached half of the content I should have in my play time, because I just spent time with random stuff. My only problem was that your spaceship is slower than it would feel right. Although probably I would be the first to puke if it would be faster. Maybe you could speed a bit more with short bursts of turbo? I donno. Anyway, I loved it. I don't want to overstate, but I don't think I ever played a better made VR game. Except maybe Tilt Brush. Get it while it's hot!

Space Rift is something I originally bought expecting somewhat of a more action-oriented dogfighting game. While this most definitely isn't the case, I was more than positively surprised. As the pace in the opening segments of the game pick up, I began going about my thing, almost forgetting I'm playing a game. Add to this the decent dogfight combat and I'm most definitely satisfied! Having both VR headsets on hand, I figured I'd try it with the Oculus Rift first in order to revalidate how well the unit works without even having the xbone controller plugged in. This game plays excellently with mouse and keyboard only. I did encounter one issue at a point where the probe was stuck in "landing" phase and never started drilling. Best narative driven fly around in your spaceship game in VR by far imo. I usually dont like this kinds of games but the story keept me hocked and i played it to the end. I really hope there will be a chapter 2

Just played a lil bit of this and had to leave. My impressions. This is a FUN, Quality title! I've no idea of its length or what it plans to unfold but I like how the cockpit is handled and its use of the ship. The text on the screen is CLEAR Unlike ELITE DANGEROUS and the view distance in space seem crisper. The flying feels just a notch below however at this point but a welcome trade off being that I actually LIKE flying now because I read my controls ! Great title I RECOMMEND. I'll update more when I can! WELL, I GOTTA JOIN THE THUMBS DOWN CLUB! heres why, THEY DONT DISCERN THAT THIS IS AN EPISODIC game. i thought id be getting a complete game, i bought it was excited to spend the weekend playing it to tell you guys about it, when i see all the negative reviews about the games LENGHT AND ABRUPT ending! with that, it has to be thumbs down because had i known, it may have changed my purchase plans.

Darum also nur eine Nominierung und kein Preis! Vorweg, das Spiel macht Spaß und ist einfach zu bedienen. Die Story bekommt gegen Ende der Episode einen Twist, sodaß man auf den nächsten Teil gespannt warten kann. Allerdings, die Grafik könnte deutlich besser sein. Der Detailgrad der Texturen ist eher gering. In der großen Station sind die Wände oft einfarbig. Es kommt einem alles ein bisschen wie 1980 vor. Damm die schlechte Synchronisation. Die Stimmen sind noch in Ordnung, aber hier wurde scheinbar gar nicht darauf geachtet, daß der Text auch nur ansatzweise zu den Mundbewegungen passt. Die Animation der NPC ist auch eher sporadisch. Der Grafikstil der Frauen (alle NPC sind bisher Frauen - bis auf der vermeindliche Bösewicht) ist eher an Mangas angelehnt - ist Geschmacksache und ich persönlich finde das nicht so schlecht. Trotzdem, es macht Spaß mit seinem Raumschiffchen Mineralien abzubauen und das Schiff langsam auszubauen. Ab und zu wird man von sogenannten Drohnen gestört, die aber nach kurzer Zeit mit der richtigen Waffe keine Probleme mehr machen. Die Steuerung mit dem Steam- oder XBoxController geht gut von der Hand. Zu Beginn ist das Schiff ohne Upgrades noch etwas träge, aber das läßt sich ja ändern. Wenn das Spiel mal wieder im Angebot ist, kann man als deutschsprachiger Weltraumheld beruhigt zugreifen. Auch wenn die Synchro unter aller Sxx ist. Es gibt ja nicht so viele Spiele in deutscher Sprache in der VR-Welt. Ich bin sehr auf die nächste(n) Episode(n) gespannt.
