About
Space Engineers is an open world sandbox game about designing, building and testing your own space machines. Construct ships, stations and planetary bases in a fully destructible environment, then explore planets and space, mine resources, survive hazards and engage in combat alone or with friends in Creative or Survival modes.
Play solo or in multiplayer, from small co-op outposts to huge community servers. Start with a simple lander, grow into a mining and industrial empire, or focus on warships and planetary fortresses – the game gives you the tools and physics, you decide what to build.
Space Engineers uses a volumetric physics engine: every block and voxel has mass, inertia and damage. Ships break apart, stations crumble and terrain can be drilled, carved and reshaped, so your engineering choices really matter.
Space Engineers is grounded in real engineering and hard science fiction, driven by realism and plausible near-future technology. Think modern space programs extrapolated into the future: realistic ships, stations, tools and systems where everything is built and simulated block by block. It’s about the machinery you build, not about magic or scripted set-pieces.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I can’t say enough good things about Space Engineers. It’s easily one of my most-played games, and after all this time I still find myself coming back to it. If you’re a creative person who enjoys building, this game is fantastic. There are so many different ways to play, and the multiplayer and modding communities turn it into something far bigger than the base game alone. The Steam Workshop is constantly filled with new blocks, scripts, scenarios, and mods created by incredibly talented people, so there’s always something new to try. If building from scratch isn’t really your thing, that’s perfectly fine too. The community shares tons of blueprints for ships, stations, rovers, and all kinds of creations. You can grab someone else’s design, build it in your own world, and jump straight into playing. In my opinion, multiplayer is where the game really shines. Finding a good server and playing with other people adds an entirely different dimension to the experience. Every server seems to have its own rules, economy, custom mods, and unique way of playing, which keeps the game feeling fresh. The sandbox itself is incredibly flexible. You can build a solar system filled with custom planets, establish bases on alien worlds, become an asteroid miner who never sets foot on a planet, or simply design massive ships and stations in creative mode. There are countless ways to customize your world, and it’s difficult to run out of new ideas. One thing I really appreciate is the DLC model. The base game is reasonably priced, and the developers continue to release free updates that include the core gameplay features. The paid DLCs are entirely cosmetic block variants, giving you more building options without locking gameplay mechanics behind a paywall. If you enjoy the game, they’re a nice bonus, but you never feel forced to buy them. This is one of those games where you’ll get out of it what you put into it. Whether you enjoy engineering, exploration, multiplayer, survival, or simply building ridiculous machines, there’s something here for you. 10/10. Highly recommended.
