South of Midnight

I truly enjoyed this game! The story is beautiful and absolutely heart wrenching too, especially learning all the back stories. My only complaint is the camera angles during some scenes and sometimes during combat. Overall 7.5/10

This is a game I thoroughly recommend for those who appreciate great storytelling, and creative art style. The combat mechanics are a bit simplistic and some of the traversal elements are not that good, which is a bummer, but the story is so good, the acting is so fantastic, the music so excellent, the animation so imaginative and the art style and level design so creative and beautiful that I was willing to ignore the less rewarding elements of the game. It is not a very long adventure, and each chapter hits the sweet spot for someone who can not devote hours at a time to advance the story in a game. The story is a beautiful dark fantasy based somewhere in Louisiana where folk stories are mixed each chapter to create new beautiful settings and objectives. If you enjoy great storytelling and beautiful art you won't be dissapointed.

Très bon jeu qui sort de l'ordinaire. Les personnages sont charismatiques. L'histoire est simple et sympa. La bande son est vraiment superbe. Ce n'est pas un soul like !! C'est un jeu empreint de sensibilité. Les paysages sont beaux avec des animaux partout. On est guidé si on veut. Ce n'est pas un AAA mais on passe un excellent moment.

When I first saw the trailer for South of Midnight I knew I would enjoy my time with it, but when I first heard the soundtrack I knew that was an understatement. The art style, characters, and soundtrack all combined well with the new world lore to make a great game. It is a little short but its well contained, and also very heartfelt and wraps up wonderfully. I hope to see more of this Magical Therapist and her new found family in the future
