About

Halcyon, a military megacorp, has perfected the Soul Materialization Project—extracting a human soul and etching it into a synthetic body. But the experiment bred countless failures: Creatures that lost their minds and turned feral. The city that once housed its labs was sealed away as a Hazard Zone, left crawling with them.
You are deployed into that Hazard Zone as the Commander who leads a squad of Souls, known as S.O.U.L.

They are weapons, stripped of memory and flesh—break their bodies and they simply print anew, beings to whom even death is denied. Your mission is singular: hunt down Milo, the one who fled with the core device of the experiment.
You'll cut through the Creatures with cards and strategy, stand against other Souls who turn enemy to bar your path, and press deeper into the Hazard Zone. The more memory fragments you gather along the way, the more of who your soldiers once were begins to surface. And at last, you will stand before a choice there's no taking back….

Soul Trigger is a 2-character tactical turn-based roguelite RPG set in an urban fantasy world.
Character-driven storytelling, modular exploration, and half real-time combat come together for a uniquely immersive experience.
A unique combat system blending turn-based depth with real-time tension.
Control one character at a time on a side-view tile grid, swap with allies as the situation demands, and exploit enemy weaknesses to inflict [Down] for a tactical edge.
Tailor each character to your playstyle through [Stat Enhancement] and [Traits].
At the hub, equip [Implants] to permanently expand a character's capabilities.
During expeditions, earn [Traits] that reshape your build every run.

Every run is a single route woven from connected rooms. At each branch you choose which room to enter next, threading a path through combat, events, shops, and the boss that awaits at the end.
Which nodes you take and which you skip becomes your strategy for the run, and no sector ever unfolds the same way twice.

Choose 2 of 4 allies (Harang / Siwoo / Valentin / Locke) at the main hub and set out.
Gather resources through exploration, return to upgrade your roster, and head back out — a tight loop built for deep immersion and high replay value.

Expressive 2D illustrated characters meet richly layered 3D environments, creating a visual style both distinctive and refined.

I didn't have any games to play, so I was looking at the Steam sale and the graphic caught my eye, so I just bought it. It's a game I bought to see graphics, so I honestly skipped everything and pressed a little bit of buttons, so I thought it was okay, but after playing it, the battle wasn't as simple as I thought. I thought I would just press the button because it's a turn-based system, but I'm concentrating because it hurts my head to think about enemy patterns and weaknesses. It felt like a tag match to fight by changing characters, but I'm going to catch one of my favorite characters and keep raising them. No, but I was a little sad that the illustration and in-game characters look different. Siwoo seems to have the best performance. As a result, I'm curious about the world view that I skipped, so I read it again with a new game later. What caught my eye was a 2D character mixed with a 3D background, but at first, I thought it matched the atmosphere well because it was fascinating. I bought some because I was curious about how to manipulate this. It doesn't feel very refined yet, but I think I'll have to do more Ranking or multi-system addition 🙏

It’s a bit rough, but there’s definitely something here. Just spent a few hours with Soul Trigger, and my feelings are... complicated. But in a good way, I think? - Visuals: The art is actually pretty solid. It’s got a cool aesthetic that kept me staring at the screen. It’s probably the strongest part of the game right now. - The Combat: The whole simultaneous turn-based thing is a bit of a trip. At first, I was like, "Wait, what am I even doing?" It’s definitely awkward at the start, but as you keep playing, it starts to make sense. It’s unique, though it still feels a bit clunky in its current state. - The Verdict: Look, the game clearly has some "growing pains." There are definitely parts that feel unpolished or just a little off. But honestly? The early-game hook is surprisingly strong. There’s a spark of potential here that I can't ignore. I really hope the devs keep grinding and smooth out the edges. It’s not quite a "must-play" yet, but it’s 100% worth keeping an eye on.
I'm obsessed with the strategic depth here. Analyzing patterns and landing counters feels amazing—huge dopamine hit! One gripe: Some tutorials could be clearer, and the menu navigation feels a little clunky. If you can push past the initial friction, there's a brilliant RPG underneath. Definitely worth a try for hardcore tactics fans!
-I think the combination of 2D characters and a 3D background helps convey the story’s atmosphere more effectively. -Since it uses a simultaneous turn-based system, I initially felt some resistance to it. However, as I continued playing, the fast pacing made it feel quite engaging, and I came to think that this approach works well. Additionally, the UI that shows the current status was very helpful in getting used to the system. -It was a bit disappointing that the number of characters and cards was limited, but I think it will improve if more are added. Also, I think it would be nice if events could occur during battles.
