Reviews
Gave this game a shot after trying it out at a local games festival, and I’m glad I did! The monster designs are super refreshing (not just your typical “cute creature” vibe like so many games that go for that Pokémon-like experience). It does take a little bit to adjust to the fact that you're not really supposed to be attached to your Soulkin in the beginning (they died like flies in my attempts at playing, but maybe I'm just bad) and I wasn't super sure about it at first. The game itself is really fun! The combat strikes a great balance: simple enough that I didn’t feel overwhelmed right away, but still challenging enough to keep me thinking (I may or may not have died a few times...). P.S. Please buff my boy Umimi. He keeps getting oneshot on turn one.
