Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.86/day in the week to Aug 14 → 8.57/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Shadow Generations is a pretty good game, probably the best iteration of the boost formula yet (as it's taking as much from the Adventure series as it can). Level design is fun and engaging, especially the transforming stages, though I don't know why 2D stages were included, they are definitely the weakest part of the mode. The 3D hub is nice to traverse around with collectables scattered about, basically a more refined, miniaturized version of an area from Frontiers. The powerups and alternate forms are a neat idea, though Doom Morph is very odd to control and Chaos Control makes certain level progression elements stop entirely. Sonic Generations is unlaunchable from the menu due to Denuvo acting up, but after some annoying fiddling (playing a level in Shadow Generations Online Time Trial mode beforehand), you can get it to work. Unfortunately it isn't updated to support higher framerates like Shadow has, it also has some strange miscellaneous changes to character designs and dialogue. It's mostly as it was, a decent celebration of the series up to that point. The 2D physics are still not as nice as they should be and the 3D boost gameplay feels restrictive, stiff, and slippery coming from Shadow, it really shows how far the formula's come since then. Something inside of both games seems to be acting up as the game would hang for multiple second every once in a while, my guess is poorly implemented DRM. Censorship is never justified, however major or minor, so I'm giving the game a thumbs down.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Arguably best Sonic product to date.
Bought this game on Humble Bundle's monthly choice, pre cheap. Gotta say ALL of Sonic's story, stages and boss fights were mid ASF! Meanwhile ALL of Shadow's story, stages and boss fights were absolute peak. Best sonic game I've played in a hot minute. If you're buying this game just for Shadow, definitely worth it! Buy it cheap though!
I bought the Game on August 21st and finished it (or better: both) yesterday, 4th of September. I'm a huge Fan of platforming games but I am a Nintendo kid since 1985, so I never played Sonic after Sonic 3 on the Master System. I was looking for something new, since I got tired of Mario, Astro, Yooka & Co and a friend recommended to play Sonic X Shadow Generations "even if you don't like Sonic". That said, I got the game for 18€, started it and I really enjoyed the Game. I mean, really! Great Level design and Soundtrack, good difficulty for Sonic virgins, that rises if you try to get 100%. Overall it's a really funny and entertaining experience, I'd recommend to everyone who likes platforming / jump & run
CHAOS CONTROLE!!!!
amei ambos, que jogaço da poha.
sonik!!!!!! soniK!!!!!!!!!! szadoL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember spending a lot of my time playing Sonic Generations on my Xbox 360 as a kid and having so much fun playing the wonderfully crafted levels. It was fun to relearn everything and play with better graphics and a higher framerate, so I really felt that I was going as fast as I could. Classic Sonic's levels (while not as fun as the modern ones) were actually pretty fun! They don't control as flawlessly as the Genesis games, were still a joy to play and I actually like that it controls in a unique manner. Bringing the drop dash to this port was also a great decision. Modern Sonic's stages are the best though, and I'm not just saying this because of nostalgia. I played this game WAY before I even touched the adventure games, heroes, 06, and unleashed (I did grow up with Sonic Colors though). The amount of hidden routes that make you feel like an absolute genius when you find them in UNCANNY, not to mention all the nods to the games they originate from, like the wisps from colors being used in the Planet Wisp level, and the cart section from Sonic Heroes in Seaside Hill. My main complaint is that the rewrite is kinda weird in some places and I feel like some of the voice acting is actually worse than the original game on past consoles, but this game doesn't really have a crazy story so I can forgive that I guess, even if it sucks that I can't rehearse them from memory anymore. And then we have Shadow Generations as the add-on, which is hands down my favorite Sonic game of all time, and to all the people who are thinking, "It's just recency bias and the only reason you like it so much is because it's technically the latest mainline Sonic game we got." ♥♥♥♥ YOU DUDE THIS GAME IS PEAK AND YOU'RE JUST MAD THAT I DON'T GLAZE UNLEASHED AS MUCH AS THIS GAME (Unleashed is an outstanding Sonic game, no hate towards that game at all) Everything I said about the modern Sonic stages pretty much applies here as well, but better because I really like the new doom abilities that Shadow equips, especially the wings.
