Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Latest in each market: best BR #81, worst UK #87 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.86/day in the week to Aug 14 → 8.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
The game ran like ♥♥♥♥. It was fine for a few minutes but then after a while I would be getting in the 5 fps range. 0/10 unplayable, Denuvo needs to die.
I'm only recommending this game if you don't already have Sonic Generations. Sonic X Shadow is a poor DLC that Sega forced us to buy at full price even if you already have the base game. While the original Generations remains my favorite Sonic game ever, the new levels are Meh even by modern sonic standards. I found myself asking "what am I supposed to do?" and "where do I go?" way too often. The devs combined precision with RNG way too much (more than zero). Which is extra terrible with how poorly Shadow controls. The jumps are too floaty. Momentum changes in ways that don't make sense, and are inconsistent. I played the original Generations after completing the Shadow levels. It's still the amazing game I remember. It's absurd that Sega got Shadow so wrong when they already had the Sonic template so perfect. Don't waste your time or money getting Shadow Generations if you already have the original. If you don't own the original then get it for Sonic. The Shadow DLC is piss poor. Almost Sonic 06 Bad.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

p-peak!!~ nya!~
It’s okay, not a fan of the Sonic Frontiers level design. Sonic Generations level pieces are far better like Unleashed. Kingdom valley is cool regardless though. Sonic’s side is more like butter, but Shadow’s is like walking without lifting up your shoes. The game isn’t meant to be realistic, so roller skates excuse doesn’t count. They wanted to make Shadow not like Sonic by adding a teleporting homing attack and the other annoying part of needing to boost to gain momentum. Can’t really use the argument that Shadow Generations level design is easier and faster to make when there are less levels than the original generations. Level design that feels like it should be there is part of the appeal of Sonic games to me. Besides don’t understand the point in changing the voice lines in original generations excluding character bio changes. The previous ones were far better to begin with; however the underlying part is that the game was made to promote Sonic Movie 3. They should’ve kept Shadow’s guns or made an alternative. Doom powers and chaos spear doesn’t count and most of those mechanics were tedious to use properly. Those powers aren't even in the movie, maybe the game is a test-run for Sonic Frontiers 2. Should've made 'GUN' the big bad enemy somehow- or just sold a remaster of Shadow the Hedgehog from the PS2.. xd Also needed to youtube the Doom morph just to understand how to use it properly, but maybe I expected too much from seeing the reviews. xdd --- (This is based on having played the original Sonic Generations a lot on xbox 360). If you want an actual good Sonic experience, then you should play Sonic P-06 (Fangame) or Sonic Unleashed Recompiled on PC. --- Things I liked (But you should still skip this game and wait for Frontiers 2 or other): - Kingdom Valley - Cutscene are better now, it's like Sonic Unleashed. - Shadow's shoes with the air vents inside. - Cool start screen song. - Sonic vs Shadow cutscene. - Mephiles and Black Doom coming back. - Sonic Adventure 2 and the fake chaos emerald reused. - Shadow character portrayal is much better now. - Maria and Gerald human models look nice. - Terios DLC skin. - Shadow movie DLC spinball looks cool. - Shadow's boost aura looks nice. - Everything related with Sonic 06 is fairly nice.
Shadow the Hedgehog 2 (except with guns, you get Black Doom-type alien powers. This a game to enjoy the sections, not a full rush playthrough of it. SEGA did right by The Ultimate Life Form, and a tragic character gets much needed closure & can truly lift his head high to Never Turn Back. A+ for the year of Hailing Shadow.
