This game is weak on VR immersion - your hands are mostly for interacting with menus rather than physically handling objects, you teleport instead of jumping, you summon your weapons with button presses rather than physically handling them. But it is very detailed on some of the crafting elements - you build a fire by physically piling up sticks, you have to choose what to harvest from animals with different parts taking different amounts of time, you bang things together in your hands to make stuff, you smoosh plants to making potions, you have to strike a torch off something to make it light, etc. The game is limited in scope - there isn't that much you can craft, only three stations each of which can only make a few things. There's only a few types of enemies. But learning to survive is tough (on the highest difficulty at least) and quite compelling. The detail makes it immersive in its own way. Worth a look, try not to be put off by the very artificial control style. There's tutorial videos online from the developers, you will need them.
It took me a bit less than 17 hours on a single play through. I started on hard and I was dying too quick while still learning controls and mechanics of the game play. Restarting on regular difficulty it was a breeze difficulty wise. There is only the main story to play and it is an excellent experience, but hardly any replay value. It wasn't spectacular enough to play through on the hardest difficultly, though I probably should have switched to hard after the the first stage/learning how to play. Quite an underrated game by review count. There were also a few unpleasant bugs. I have a KatWalk and had to re-calibrate often. I am not sure if the treadmill was at fault and couldn't pinpoint what exactly caused it. It often had something to do with holding something in each hand. There was also a bug that caused my bow to disappear twice. It was in hand and I was putting a new bowstring on it... and gone. Poof. Not in inventory quick spot. Not on the ground. Nothing. Just had to reload a save to get it back. The troubles were worth it and I recommend.

I read in discussion that this game not sold so well so we havent got rekindled update yet ? cmon ppl. this is a great survival game. And it's cheap too. I just played 2 hours but the gathering and combining is good enough. Still havent got the hang of building but I just read a bit on that and ready for my next session. The hunting is surprisingly cool. Sneaking on the deers, shoot them with arrows, follow the blood when they run, and finished them. Though I'm not a fan of skinning it as it took time (literally in game time). read the review and said it's scary. I havent got to the scary part yet it seems. Day time seems to be short, and night time to be too long, as exploring at night with torch is painful, and the torch only last so long. Still just try it, but all in all, I like what I experienced and hopefully it would stay good.
Pure awesomeness Great atmosphere, great handling, great sounds
very good, would definitely recommend
Sehr unterhaltsam, Tolle crafting mechanik
Fun exploration, survival and combat. The crafting is well-done. Gorgeous environments with a nice art style. Not really an open world, but rather a series of medium sized to large levels. Runs great on minimum system requirements. My only gripe would be the inventory management, but hey, it's a survival game after all! "The ultimate caveman simulator" pretty much sums it up accurately.
Best of the best (night ghost so scary)
Dated mechanics but a fun survival game.
