game is kind of ok with a decent story - however in the end i found that i could not load back and access other endings. the game does not autosave every chapter.... but early in the game it said some crap about autosaving. i was mislead by it and so i only got to experience one ending, big bummer! I see one autosave and it is for the final cutscene, dumb.
Je n'ai fais que le tout début. L'histoire est certainement prenante par la suite mais ce n'est pas mon type de jeu. Avis aux fans du genre et des histoire fantastiques, faites le il a l'air cool. Bien qu'il semble un poil chère à mon avis.
After playing cinders, I bought this and ..... no <3
Good visual novel game
As I loved Cinders so much I bought Solstice too and was not dissapointed. The Story itself is (in my opinion) even better than Cinders. The characters are deep and very well written, the decisions really change the story and what you find out. The artwork is beautiful and even sometimes animated. In contrast to Cinders this one is not an Otome game but fits more into the mystery, adventure genre. There are romantic aspects you can follow, but you don't have to and it is not the main goal. All around this game is a Visual Novel jewel and I can recommend it to everyone who loves Visual Novels or Games where you can choose your own path.
I bought this game after loving Cinders and my impression is mixed, leaning positive. As with Cinders, the art was gorgeous and the character designs were all very unique and eye-catching. I also found the story, dialogues, overall concept, and character personalities excellent and more engaging than in Cinders. The characters felt very realistic and the mystery kept me guessing. I also found the dual protagonists concept very interesting and I loved how it was executed, especially since they were both unreliable narrators. However, I didn't find any of the game's endings satisfying and found that the first three acts built up a lot of tension that was lost in the last two, something which disappointed me. Without spoiling too much, each ending felt too bleak and similar to the others and I felt frustrated at how previously established character relationships had little bearing on the actual ending itself. All this being said, however, I had an enjoyable time playing the game and recommend purchasing it if it's on sale, but not at full price.
给我整无语了,玩的好好的,结果玩到一半两男的莫名其妙就亲上了???
The writing is frustrating. One character you play as is a doctor and the other is an engineer but they both constantly fail to bring anything to the table with that. They also spend the entire game trying to uncover a mystery but don't get anywhere. Its not either of them that find the victim or the culprit, but other characters so the plot feels like they had no effect on the plot.
The setting was intriguing and the premises rather promising, but I still feel bad about wasting 6 hours on horrendous writing. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone who's ever experienced the satisfaction from a well-written game.
Liked the artstyle. Liked the story. Liked the characters. Liked the choices given. Liked the game.
