I received this product for free. Wish I hadn't. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOSbfclBaoo Soldiers of the Galaxy has a lot going against it before you even accept to review it like an idiot. The nonsense bombastic name, the impenetrable story with some whiffs of nationalism, the fact that it's a modern warfare FPS developed by nobodies - the odds were stacked against from the get go. So I start the campaign game, and the intro is both silly and awful. I press F12 to take a screenshot. This skips the cutscene. Luckily, I'm immediately thrown into an another cutscene where four nearly identical soldiers (two of them even feature face masks) on a helicopter introduce themselves by their stupid bird-themed codenames, which they shorten to nicknames. These TIER 1 OPERATORS introduce themselves to each other on the flight to the mission area, even stating their specialties. This is how operations are carried out in real TIER 1 OPS LAND. So, I’m dropped off with three AI buddies. The environment is brown and horrible and the level is basically a long corridor bordered by badly modeled and badly textured ruins. The level is then populated with enemies that fire at you at full auto and at all times. They will pause and crouch to reload before resuming magdumping at you. They'll do it basically outside of draw distance, too. However, the enemies are all armed with AKS-74Us, with the expected videogame AKS-74U accuracy. So you will have hard time discerning the direction of the shots. The damage will super random, sometimes bypassing armor, sometimes not harming you at all. I’ve survived with an empty health bar a few times, too. One thing that isn’t random will is the sound of full auto fire that will only cease when you kill the enemies (the AI may or may not do it for you, so here's one thing where this game is better than some other game, namely, Legendary). I don’t know what’s worse: the sounds of fire, or the sounds of bullets hitting the area around you. So, imagine you’re an idiot playing this game (me) and you’re trying to kill a terrorist. You're aiming at him down the sights. However, if you can see the enemy, they can see you too, and if they AI isn't glitching out, he’s shooting at you. And when you're hit, the sights hop around the screen like crazy. So either you clip the enemy at extreme range while their accuracy poses little threat to you, wait for them to reload, or just fire away, hoping to score a headshot. Don't be afraid to fire wildly, your comrades will always give you full ammo and 5 grenades when asked. Specifically, one of them will restock ammo when you press E next-to-but-not-facing-them-or-away-from-them. You can't pick up ammo or guns from enemies. They really worked on the reloading animations, they look real smooth, even if nothing else in the game does! I think the devs might have bought the guns and their animations as assets, since the level of work put in them outshines anything else in the game. OK, where were we? Oh yeah, running down brown corridors filled with stationary enemies spraying bullets at you like the poorest man's version of poor man's Portal turrets. Sometimes, you will be hit by bullets coming from random direction of the level, because the enemies, triggered even outside of draw distance (in 2017) will still fire at you, the intentions of level designers be damned. Speaking of level designers: invisible walls. While the (horrible, badly textured) ruins lining the corridor can sometimes be entered, there's really no reason to, since they offer no alternate routes, no ammo or armor pick ups (the game sorta features armor, but the only way to regain it is to reload checkpoints), no tactical possibilities - nothing! Unless you count invisible walls appearing in doorways and other seemingly traversible areas at random as something. Eventually, you get to the end of level and achieve some objective you don't understand the reason for pursuing. Then you get to do the same in some other badly designed level - but you might get a new weapon! This game is bad and people giving it thumbs up should feel bad. They’re either the family members of the developers, Chinese spambots that spontaneously gained some sort of semblance of self awareness or alien infiltrators trying to build up a cover story by commenting on human entertainment products in some approximation of English. Soldiers of the Universe doesn't demonstrate potential, hard work, clever ideas, attention to detail, good story writing, level design talent, or effort put into AI. It's just some indie devs looking at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and deciding tjat they, people with no training or financing, can do something that Medal of Honor or even other Call of Duty games couldn't do. Don't buy it. Don't buy it in a sale. Don't accept it for free. Don't accept it even if someone offered sexual favors. Don't inflict it on your mortal enemies. Don't use it to torture ISIS fighters. Just... don't.
I love the game, sadly its too hard even on lowest difficulty... The game has nice guns nice animations and nice sound effects, i really like it !!! But in these conditions i cannot finish the game when i die on easy mode all the time, and i am a huge first person shooter addict. I will update my review once the devs reply to me and make any changes, for now its a negative score.
Üstüne para verseler alınmayacak bir oyun
Thank god I recieved this game for free, because... oh my, this game is a trash. Positives: + surprisingly real ballistics + if you walk backwards or sideways you cannot hear that awful walk sound Negatives: - unbelievably stupid AI - they literally ignore enemies - music, game sounds - story is boring, predictable and look like some Turkish propaganda - graphics is certainly enough to make one weep - "invisible walls" - like you want to go straight but you cant, because there is fuc*ing invisible wall in the middle of nowhere - too hard even on the easy difficulty

I played all two hours of the game out of respect to receiving it for free from a giveaway. I will start with the pros... It was short… Exploding barrels, cut scenes, reasonable graphics ummmm... and the cons. -Braindead bot team mates, literally stand two meters away from enemies and don't shoot. -At times, it appears that teammates get stuck and the scripted AI hangs, meaning you can walk up to enemies and point-blank gun them down. -Barrel shooter, with level design that gives the ‘appearance’ of being able to flank. -A story which appears psychotic in nature and appears as a promo for Turkish patriotism (better than US for a change I guess!?) Seriously, it opens with a robot in a lab and what appears to be a shadow Turkish government and then for the rest of the game is a terrorist shooter?! -Clipping is apparent, especially at the end of the first level, where you can walk through the heli that is providing the evac. -No variation in weapons, level layouts, enemies. -Awful ham fisted, phoned in dialogue. -The last level looks like Minecraft the first-person shooter, as all textures are low res. -A hilarious ending which leaves the player questioning their own existence. I finished the game because of its lack of duration and because it was ironically fun. However, I would not recommend it to anyone paying for it.
