About
Solarpunk is a survival game in a technologically advanced world of floating islands. Alone or together with 4 friends, you can construct buildings, grow food, craft gadgets and explore distant islands with your own airship.
Use sunlight, wind and water to create an energy system and automate your processes like gathering resources and watering your plants.
Design your dream home base with a wide range of materials and decorations. You’re free to build cozy spaces, add tiny details, and make your island feel just like home.
These buildings were crafted by our amazing community in the demo!

Generate electricity using wind and solar energy. Weather conditions affect how much energy you produce, so you’ll need to plan ahead. Store energy in batteries and use wireless power to keep your base running smoothly.

Play solo or with friends. Everyone has their own inventory, and you can decide whether to build something together or create your own little corner in the sky.

In Solarpunk, you live in symbiosis with animals. There is no exploitation, only coexistence. Pigs, for example, will dig up truffles if treated well. Growing fruits and vegetables is your main source of food. Plant seeds in the ground and harvest them once they’re fully grown.

Automate your tasks using transport drones to gather resources, giving you more time to build and explore your skybound home.

Each player can build their own airship. Use it to travel to surrounding islands and discover new resources.

Not much to do, aircraft crashes to easily
The problem starts right with the tutorial. A tutorial is supposed to explain how to play the game, not just blindly dictate: "Build X, build Y, build Z." It should say something like: "Open the build menu with the [F] key." Even better, of course, would be dynamic keybinding variables—so if you remap the [F] key, the text updates automatically. That’s completely missing here, which already shows how poorly designed this tutorial is. Other than that, the whole thing feels way too cozy to me—too cozy, too simplistic. It might gain some depth down the line, but at its core, it’s honestly just pretty boring. So unfortunately, I have to say it’s not worth the money for me. Sure, that's personal preference, I admit. But speaking as a game tester: when I notice the tutorial is already lacking, I get immediately skeptical about whether they managed to get the rest of the game right. That sends up red flags for me right away.

The short version: Poor graphics, poorly optimized gameplay and literally no NPC or story The game itself is very VERY short and empty and NOT WORTH the full price. Even the sale price I would say it would only be worth if you really REALLY like to build very plain box houses with almost no decoration. The Long version: The graphics are 3D but everything is very simplistic without any refinement. The trees are barely there with just the bark and not even moving with the wind. The rocks are very uniform like someone coply and clued the same image over and over in diferent places of the map and painted over them and even the ores rocks are just the same in a place, without any kind of diference even if the ambient or ground is completely diferent. The gameplay is the most simplistic you can ever program, you walk, you jump but if you dare to do it too much or on corners chances are you get cliped or fall. The animals suffer the same problem with most of them getting stuck on elevations when you try to make them follow you and you need to QUIT THE GAME, not return the main menu, QUIT THE GAME, and re-lauch to reset it. The chests are a... choice. That's the best I can say, as after you get the first inventory expansion, instead of have you see the whole inventory to transfer to the chest, you have to click a button and go to another part to see the expanded inventory instead of just SHOW THE WHOLE INVENTORY like before the expansion The weather is the most badly optimized problem of programation i've ever seem. The thunderstorm get stuck on you after a some days and once it gets there, it will repeat for 12+ days unless you actually QUIT THE GAME, again not return to main menu, but QUIT THE GAME AND RE-LAUCH, so the storm get un-stuck. The game has no storyline. No NPC to interact besides a silent bot that gives you upgrades and blueprints without saying anything and the only progression is how much you hoard resources to get what the bot wants until the next upgrade. Said upgrades and progression are very short and plain. You only get 4 updates and there are less than 16 islands, some which are just a patch of land to give some resources. Currently, in this state of FULL RELEASE as the game is lauched, its not worth the price in any way or form. If you ever get on sale, only buy it if you are really REALLY bored and played all other games of the same gender, because otherwise its not worth the price for the content of the game.
不好玩,很枯燥,一直在重复劳动,3个小时一直在造镐子和挖矿
just kinda boring also each player shouldn't have to individually make an airship
Ive been playing with my partner...and the game is fun....but oh god its so buggy i had to double check to see if it was marked in early access. The fact its not and a full game surprised me. I cant recommend the game in its current state and it transform it from a cozy experience that its trying to market itself as, to just pure frustration.
I was really excited for this game for quite some time. I am a long time survival crafting buff, with a soft spot for cozy aesthetics and a fondness for automation in games. You can tell very early on that the game is half baked. The animations are rigid and robotic, the textures are minimally detailed, and the initial gameplay loop is lacking. This leads quickly into a very grind oriented style of gameplay where you cannibalize the entire first island of resources to build a small shack, and get your first ship (which can not be shared by other players in the multiplayer environment.) Long story short I did not put much time into this game, but that is because it is clear the developers did not either. If the early game suffers from such a lack of diversity and interesting gameplay I can only imagine how it feels to grind to late game and see much of the same. The most well fleshed out part of the game is the decorating aspect, if that is something you are interested in I think there are a wide variety of games that not only do it better, but have that as the primary focus. I will keep my eye on the game and see what sort of attention the devs give to it, maybe in a couple of years it will feel more satisfying to play.
