I wish this game actually worked cause it's a really fun and interesting tycoon game. But the robots CONSTANTLY stop working. They will get stuck, and not do anything when there's stuff for them to do like harvest plants, or stock the machines. Yes, there's space for them to put the sodas away, and if the stockbots need to have the right stuff, and I need to make sure they have it, then that's stupid. They should be able to grab what's in the storage, and go to the machines that have it. I hope they fix this, because I do wanna keep going, but it's irritating to see the WHOLE farm ready to be harvested, but the bots aren't harvesting.
I went into this game not knowing a single thing about it - just stumbled across it and, god, what a pleasant surprise it's been. I'm a huge fan of tycoon/'build up from the start' games, and seeing the unique art style and concept, Soda Story caught my eye immediately. I truly cant state how much this game feels like a labour of love between the devs. Reminder, TWO people created this and, in the best way, you'd never be able to tell. It would have been so much easier to cut corners with some of the mechanics in this game - the minigames, insane combos of plants, or hell, even the story. However it really seems like the Upper Class Walrus lads stuck to their guns of including everything they wanted. The story is a fun cute constant push forward in progression - but it never feels like you're being steamrolled into rushing an objective. The minigames are simple and addictive for my ape brain to do whilst listening to podcasts - and quite a few times in my progress I paused and completely re-worked my factory to make different recipes, and didn't feel punished for the downtime in my productivity. I truly hope anyone who sees this and enjoys tycoon games gives this game a go - hell even just the demo as it gives a solid 4 ish hour chunk of just the tip of the iceberg - I really hope these lads feel proud about their launch and hope big things come in the future, it's such a hard market for indie games to pick up steam. Y'all made a killer game boys - keep the updates flowing if possible! It genuinely feels like the devs just wanted to make a game with fun in the foreground, and with the complexities of games now-a-days, I really damn appreciate it. It speaks volumes that the only negative review is an overt troll comment - try the demo and give these devs a chance :)!
This game is the best!
: Hey what you drinking? : Oh it's cricket and spider combo soda, want some?
My flavourite game. My game should be called sauce story chewing tycoon.
Very easy game to sink time into, devs are constantly updating and very quick to fix bugs and any issues!
This indie management sim has a nice twist, and for a game developed by 2 people is remarkably feature complete! Do yourself a favour and buy it!
If you want a sandboxy tycoon game that gives you an actual story/purpose, and has a little less breadth, but WAYY more depth, this is your game!
This game is addictive if you like tycoon sort of games. Setting up a soda factory and having a ton of different flavours. I wouldn’t drink some of them in real life but some of them sound really good. The mini game for analyzing what flavours are good with other flavours is fun. You can go at your own pace. But to continue unlocking certain things you have to continue with the story. The only time you need to “rush” is when your in a competition.
