Fun game, i think there is a lot more things the devs can put in creative mode to make it more fun there. Co-op was fun, different "snow monsters" to encounter. Me and my 9yo son had alot of fun playing.
Snow Fortress 2 is a paid VR throwing game where you have snowball fights. It worked on my Index, Meta Quest 3 via Steam Link and HTC Vive system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Very cute. Might be good for kids. Has a auto homing throw option. Has multiplayer with several game play modes. Has single player mode vs bots. Has Slingshots to throw the snowballs also. Maybe buy this game, if you like throwing games. I got a free key for this from the Steam Curator program. ViVE VR curator group
Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my gameplay & early impressions here: https://youtu.be/5B2mB_jel-0 This is a follow-up to the original Snow Fortress and it's improved. This game would be perfect for families with kids who are looking for family-friendly online coop or pvp game modes with gameplay that is easy to get into. It also has a single-player mode & creative modes. Unfortunately, VR veterans are unlikely to enjoy this game as the game mechanics are simply out-dated for hardened VR veterans who have been there and done that back in 2016-17 VR. The single-player modes (outside Creative) are basically just wave shooters where you spam throwing snowball, or slingshot, or the snowball bazooka. The snow fortress building part is just putting the blocks next to each other and building simple structures with different materials to block paths / snowballs. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting mostly 90 fps. I did not experience any serious issues or bugs. You have full locomotion or teleportation, along with snap turning only. You can play comfortably seated. I was unable to test out online multiplayer so I can't really comment too much on it, other than it's there. I thought the game is dead, but I was the one who died after all the big monsters came to kill me
太欢乐了!先吧雪块垒起来做防御工事开战打雪仗,我觉得直接扔比弹弓更准,有剧情关卡模式和无线模式,也有联机对战模式,太好玩了,希望早点上架Pico商店 ========================================= What fun! First of all, the snow blocks up to do fortifications to start snowball fights, I think the direct throw is more accurate than the slingshot, there are plot level mode and wireless mode, but also online battle mode, too fun, hope to put on the Pico store early
