I meant to leave a positive review a while ago, when I was about 50% through the game, but decided to wait until I completed it first. Puzzle games, even good ones, often introduce mechanics or designs that are more frustrating than fun. This is not the case here. The level/puzzle design is just overall great. At no point I felt frustrated, and I also never felt like I could only solve a level by trial and error. In most cases I was able to visualise the solution before I even started moving. Very few levels were so difficult that they got me stunned. The mechanics are pretty straightforward and offer a good balance of challenge and satisfaction. I also have to mention that the game offers more than enough content for its price (in my case, about 18 hours to complete all levels). I've played a good amount of puzzle games and this one is definitely up there with the best in the genre. Needless to say that I highly recommend it.

Really fun little puzzle game! The sliding mechanic is simple to understand but surprisingly satisfying, and the puzzles do a great job of gradually getting more challenging without feeling frustrating. The slime is ridiculously cute, and the animations, sounds, and pixel art give the whole game a really cozy feel. I especially like that you can just pick it up for a few minutes and solve a couple puzzles, but there’s enough here to keep you playing if you want to sit down and binge it. The undo/reset system is also great since you can experiment without worrying about ruining a puzzle. If you like puzzle games, cute pixel art, or games that are easy to pick up but still make you think, definitely give this one a shot. The slime deserves it.

Każdy poziom to szereg wyzwań, przez które musimy się prześlizgnąć (dosłownie!). Im dalej w las, tym robi się trudniej – pojawia się coraz więcej pomysłowych przeszkód i modyfikatorów, dzięki czemu tytuł szybko się nie nudzi. Cała zabawa polega na tym, że nasz uroczy różowy bohater porusza się od krawędzi do krawędzi. Gdy ruszy w jakimś kierunku, zatrzyma się dopiero wtedy, gdy coś stanie mu na drodze. Brzmi prosto, ale w praktyce potrafi solidnie rozruszać szare komórki. Na początku trafiamy na dość standardowe przeszkody, jak kolce czy przepaście. Z czasem dochodzą klucze i drzwi, zapadająca się ziemia, która sprawia, że dana droga jest jednorazowa czy możliwość zmniejszenia swojego rozmiaru, aby dostać się do węższych przestrzeni. To sprawia, że zabawa zaczyna się robić naprawdę ciekawa i trzeba pogłówkować! Do tego wszystkiego dochodzi cudowna, kolorowa pikselowa grafika i spokojna, plumkająca w tle muzyka, która idealnie pasuje do klimatu gry. Więcej recenzji na moim instagramie - adasaleks

An excellent puzzle game with a delightful presentation! Having completed all levels of Slip 'n Slime, I can say I enjoyed just about every aspect of the game. The puzzles, while on the easier side (if you, like me, come from the likes of baba is you and snakebird), do ramp up in difficulty as you progress through the map, going from "just have fun sliding around until you reach the goal" to "actually need to step back and reason about the correct path", which made for a nice range of challenge. I found the levels to be expertly designed, with all mechanics being used in lots of creative ways, both on their own and combined. All the visual and sound elements were just as good. The slime looks adorable, and the environments are all pretty. The music tracks and their variants are very nice, as well as the way these change when the slime goes into its miniature form. Even the pixel art "photos" you get every few levels as a sort of reward are charming. Easily one of the best put together, loveliest puzzle games I've ever played.
