I got this game 3 times over 2 old accounts and this main one and I have finished it 7 times now (and counting). Slime rancher is one of those games you can always come back to with a feeling of familiarity unparalleled to other Farm life sim games. The world is beautifully crafted and the story is written subtly but with love and it shows throughout the whole time you play this game on a new save. There are many times in which I think to myself about how I would've loved to experience this game for the first time again. To start, Slime rancher as a game and its mechanics are very simple and player friendly. Unless it's your first time having a pc/laptop you will understand how the game works in no time. Gameplay gives a great amount of freedom with its map's discoverability and roaming opening up so many different ways to experience exploration in the game. The environment is very well layered with secrets and shortcuts despite its limited visible size on the map adding an extra touch of depth in the world. The overall vibes are fantastic with many colourful cute slimes to discover and amazing vibrant biomes that change things up the more you play the game. The tasks are almost never a bore (I say almost because some might find late game a little repetitive) and there's always something to keep you busy on the ranch. Customisability in Slime rancher is also a feature which makes grinding the game rewarding and enjoyable. Finally, the soundtrack is unforgettable with each area having its own separate catchy background melody (loved it so much I saved the playlist on Spotify). For someone who got into the game through watching gameplay videos on youtube during my childhood, I can't stress enough how Slime rancher is way more fun when you play it yourself and it may not be obvious at first especially for those that are not normally into farming sim games. Overall I would highly recommend this game as something in your library to cherish when you have time for yourself after a long day of work, studying or just having a tiring day. It's a wonderful single player open world classic that has to be played at least once in one's lifetime. :) 10/10
