About
You're on a path in the woods, and at the end of that path is a cabin. And in the basement of that cabin is a Princess.
You're here to slay her. If you don't, it will be the end of the world.
She will do everything in her power to stop you. She'll charm, and she'll lie, and she'll promise you the world, and if you let her, she'll kill you a dozen times over. You can't let that happen. Don't forget, the fate of the world rests on your shoulders.
You're not going to listen to him, are you? We're supposed to save princesses, not slay them...
Features
Fully voice-acted by the impeccable Jonathan Sims and Nichole Goodnight.
Hand-penciled art - every background and sprite is drawn traditionally with pencil and paper by Ignatz-winning graphic novelist Abby Howard.
A princess. She's very bad and you have to get rid of her for all our sakes.
No, the Princess isn't a “cosmic horror,” whatever that is supposed to mean. She's just an ordinary human Princess, and you can definitely slay her as long as you put your mind to it.
Don't even think about trying to romance her. It won't end well for you.
Hopefully you won't die. But if you do, you'll die a lot. Be careful and stay focused on the task at hand!
A branching narrative where what you say and what you believe determines both who you are and how the story unfolds. Though I wouldn’t recommend taking any paths outside of the one I lay before you.
A new roleplaying experience from the creators of Scarlet Hollow.
Slay the Princess is a choice-driven psychological horror visual novel/dating sim with dramatic branching, light RPG elements, and hand-penciled art.

A new ending. And hopefully one that saves the world rather than damns it.

Reviews
This is one of the best games I played so far. If you like narrative games, is a MUST. Thanks for giving us such beautiful masterpiece
Slay the Princess is a short choice driven horror visual novel that offers branching paths that can go in wildly different directions but still manages to tie the whole experience together with a satisfying conclusion. One full playthrough lasts around three hours, but there are enough routes to last a couple of additional playthroughs with completely different adventures. While I enjoyed my first playthrough, completing the rest of the game was much less entertaining. You can quickly notice how the routes are structured and the game’s trick starts to wear thin. However, I might have been overexposed to visual novels which feature meta elements, because I did not have the very strong positive reaction to it as many other reviews did. The visuals and audio were excellently matched to the constantly evolving story, but I must mention that there is a level of gore that might be too much for some. I do have one UI suggestion, for players that already completed one playthrough. There could have been some way to help out in tracking the remaining routes. The already used dialogue choices could have been greyed out for example, but this solution might not be that easy to implement, due to how the route system is structured. In summary, this is an interesting visual novel experience for one playthrough, with a unique and well done presentation.
If you can't be trusted, can you really trust anyone?
Not a huge visual novel guy. This game is fantastic, 10/10
cool art style and macabre story
I usually don't like Visual Novels. Most of them don't care about dialogues, and rarely matter. But Slay the Princess just, blows my mind for all the different options you can choose from, and the different endings. I liked this game, honestly the vest visual novel I have tried. If you don't like VN, you may not like this, but everything is really good, the art, the music, the scenes. Recommended
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beautiful game, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love it.
Voiced by Jonathon Sims, head archivist of the Magnus Institute, London. Recording begins. You're on a path in the woods. And at the end of that path is a cabin. And in the basement of that cabin is a princess. You're here to slay her. If you don't, it will be the end of the world...
