About
You're on a path in the woods, and at the end of that path is a cabin. And in the basement of that cabin is a Princess.
You're here to slay her. If you don't, it will be the end of the world.
She will do everything in her power to stop you. She'll charm, and she'll lie, and she'll promise you the world, and if you let her, she'll kill you a dozen times over. You can't let that happen. Don't forget, the fate of the world rests on your shoulders.
You're not going to listen to him, are you? We're supposed to save princesses, not slay them...
Features
Fully voice-acted by the impeccable Jonathan Sims and Nichole Goodnight.
Hand-penciled art - every background and sprite is drawn traditionally with pencil and paper by Ignatz-winning graphic novelist Abby Howard.
A princess. She's very bad and you have to get rid of her for all our sakes.
No, the Princess isn't a “cosmic horror,” whatever that is supposed to mean. She's just an ordinary human Princess, and you can definitely slay her as long as you put your mind to it.
Don't even think about trying to romance her. It won't end well for you.
Hopefully you won't die. But if you do, you'll die a lot. Be careful and stay focused on the task at hand!
A branching narrative where what you say and what you believe determines both who you are and how the story unfolds. Though I wouldn’t recommend taking any paths outside of the one I lay before you.
A new roleplaying experience from the creators of Scarlet Hollow.
Slay the Princess is a choice-driven psychological horror visual novel/dating sim with dramatic branching, light RPG elements, and hand-penciled art.
What’s in the Pristine Cut?

Expansions to familiar routes. The Den, The Apotheosis and The Fury each have each more than doubled in length.
Over 35% more content overall—and all of it filled with great opportunities to listen to me and do your job.
A new ending. And hopefully one that saves the world rather than damns it.

the best story-driven game ive ever played! got me in the feels
9/10
I like it, its nice Minor
game structure,

character name,

and Location/Object name
spoilers ahead One thing that I
really liked
is
how certain
chapters
have completely
different dialog
based on how you got to that
chapter
. Example
"Chapter 3: The princess and the dragon"
<- Which was
my favorite

chapter
btw
The
sound design
was also
amazing

The
Narrator
's VA has also done an absolutely superb job, I liked the
Princes
's VA too, but the
Narrator
was absolutely amazing

By
Narrator
's VA I obviously mean all the
Voice of ...
too

Kinda funny thing is I immidietly got the "good ending", so I was scared of a random ending popping up so I made a lot of saves... took me a while to realise that the game is extremely lenient, and has no way to "lose"

Overall pretty cool game, I yet to get all endings/achievement tho, there are so many
On the technical side I had times where on scene changes the
Mirror
didn't dissapear at the same time as the rest of the
upper room
, but other than that I had absolute no issues running the game. No bugs, no framedrops, no crashes
(other than the intended crash by trying to outwait forever obviously)

I got some minor nitpicks for certain
chapters
, and some other stuff, but overall they are extremely insignificant +I had a good time so who cares, cool game
I liked the story, definitely going to complete all the endings
its beautiful
great game made me and my friend cry
As someone who has been longing for a game built around a similar premise, this right here was right up my alley. The sheer scope of the game is difficult to convey without experiencing it firsthand; the multitude of choices spanning across the chapters, changing the scenes and dialogue, is what makes this game truly great. Simply put, the voices are absolutely top-notch, both the narrator
and the voices that accompany us throughout the game
and the Princess' performance, which adapts seamlessly to every situation with her voice - one moment it's soothing, while the next it's tense and rough. Without beating around the bush, the writing of the game is spectacular. It's by far the defining factor that makes Slay the Princess the masterpiece that it is. Not only does it leave you pondering for hours after seemingly simple and mundane questions, but once you grasp what they truly mean and try to convey, everything suddenly becomes incredibly deep and poetic. Every scene is seamlessly woven into the narrative, never breaking the pace or the immersion that the game draws you into. Not to mention the beautifully hand-drawn artwork, and the sheer amount of unique illustrations the game has to offer. After all, how hard could 'slaying the Princess' actually be?
Definitely took me through an array of emotions on it's twists and turns. Simple to play, yet elegant. And quite intriguing on the stories.
One of the best games ive played this year. I dont understand the complete meaning of this yet (ill probably watch a yt video about it),but it was amazing nonetheless.
great game
