Reviews
The most competitively viable platform fighter ever made if the human race was even remotely competent at critical analysis. This should be the most played game on the planet, we failed as a species.
THIS IS THE MOST FUN IVE EVER HAD PLAYING A PLATFORM FIGHTER I PROMISE!!!!!! PLEASE PLAY THIS!!!!!!!!
Time of review says 4 hours, but it's closer to 100 if you count local at a friends house. Better than Smash Ultimate. Better than Rivals of Aether (1 and 2). Better than Fraymakers. Better than Smash Melee. You'd be hard pressed to find a better and more fun plat fighter.

Slap City is easily the best platform fighter I've played to date, I'm pretty late to the party on this one but damn do I feel like a fool for passing it up for so long. It just FEELS good to play, every character also brings a different archetype and mechanics to the table that manage to make each of them feel very standout. There's also so many stages and so much technical depth that it really does feel like a game for everyone, which many smash-like games seem to usually lack.
the Business Casual Man is simply the GOAT!
This game is so good that it actually had me excited for Nintendo All Star Brawl at one point.
fun and creative movesets, movement feels great, substantial singleplayer content, both competitive and goofy gimmicky stages, basically everything you could ask for out of a platform fighter
I love the game feel, art style, soundtrack and overall personality. I just wish there was more content. each character is creatively designed in their move sets. I just wish for more
Not a hidden gem. You aren't missing anything.
forgot to put in a review earlier I have too much time in this game on switch, while if you can choose one platfighter to invest in I'd probably point you to rivals, this is arguably my favorite vanilla experience and I wish way more people experienced and even played this game. it's uncomfortably and kind of grossly dripping charm all over the living room rug, and it just feels fantastic to play. who knows, maybe you'll even be converted to ludosism like I was.
