So much fun, especially with a flight stick

This really scratches the Rogue Squadron itch! Fun, relatively simple third-person flight-based game. Maybe not for hardcore flight-sim fans, but I'm really enjoying it.

A distilled jet fighter simulator with decent flight mechanics and complexity, yet easy to pick up and enjoy.

Excellent arcade fun for wanna-be flyboys

Fun little mix of a pixelated Ace-like and a Rogue-lite. There's a skin for your aircraft called "True North" that turns them red and adds a stylized Maple Leaf. That sold me extra hard as a Canadian. There are places where it'll feel unfinished in a way, seeing as some of the entries in the "Aeropedia" don't have a description. And those will probably never be fixed as the game seems to be "finished" at this point. I think "finished" is a more optimistic term than "dead" because games USED to ship as a complete package with no updates, so it's nostalgic to find a game that I can play without worrying about updates constantly making me want to reset my progress.

Probably the only roguelike game I'll ever recommend in my whole life. It's an arcade airplane combat game with great music. The controls feel really good, the gameplay loop is fun. Dying in the game doesn't feel like a waste of my finite time on this earth, because even if I die in the game I had fun the whole time playing it
