Skin Deep

A very well done stealth imsim game. Throughout its set of bite-sized levels it delivers a feeling of freedom and progression. All wrapped up in a engaging and humorous story with fun characters.

Nobody does it like Brendon Chung and Blendo Games. At one point while playing I shouted "♥♥♥♥ I can't believe I missed that pepper shot I can't stop sneezing ♥♥♥♥" and my spouse looked at me like I'd lost my mind. Skin Deep is simultaneously a hilarious pastiche of the immersive sim genre and one of the best entries in the genre. If you ever wished that Dishonored had even more little objects you could pick up and throw this ones for you baybeee

Fun mission based immersive sim with an emphasis on different systems interacting with each other. Reminds me of Void Bastards/SS2 but with more player freedom.

I used to think I didn't like stealth games. Skin Deep might have changed that? Like this game is one of my favourites of all time, and the only negative things I have to say about it is that it feels a [i]bit[/i] too short (though I can't really think of anything it could do that tops the final level's gimmick), the in-level dialogue gets a bit repetitive on replays after you've already heard all of it, and there isn't any reward for getting all three optional objectives on every level. Otherwise I genuinely love it and would (and, in fact, [i]do[/i]) recommend others play it. Also the artstyle and intentionally-unrealistic gameplay reminds me of TF2.

Mewgenics for people who like immersive sims

Listen, this is a very fun game. its an immersive sim after all. the issue is that its locked to 60hz. so if you have a high refresh rate monitor its very jittery and painful to play. what a shame too because its so good but it just that one issue holding it back. i asked for a refund. i hope they fix this and if they do ill purchase it again.

Was really in the mood for an immsim, had been eyeing this for a while and gave it a try. In the first real level... - I killed a space pirate by breaking a window and venting the room into space myself included - Snuck back into the ship via trash chute which made me so stinky other space pirates to detect me by smell - Used my stinkiness to bait the lead space pirate around a corner where I placed a banana peel - Copied the lead space pirate's ship key while he was recovering from slipping on a banana peel - Used the stolen key to steal the space pirate's boarding pod ship and escape like some sort of trash covered Jack Sparrow.
