Skies Above caught my eye as soon as I came across it on social networks. I mean, riding a flying whale into outer space whilst fighting off hordes of mechanized enemies... what's not to like? The gameplay is hectic and fast paced but never stressed me out. I could switch between trying to min-max every single enemy combo to just playing chill and gathering resources for my next run; but I was always progressing a little bit further into the skies. I recommend trying this game whether you're into fast-paced precision gameplay or just roguelites in general. Hell, even if you enjoyed old school progression games like Burrito Bison there's something in here for you. Give it a try!
The gameplay loop is surprisingly VERY fun. This game is peak and insanely underrated.

Awesome game. Looks great. Good soundtrack. Fun gameplay that's easy to pick up, yet has a high enough skill ceiling to keep being engaging. Roguelite elements feel solid. And there's a giant space whale! And you can pet the dog! This game needs to be seen by more people.
Î was the composer/sounddesigner on this game. Did not played it since the release. Bought it on this summer sale. I have to say Hungry Dingo did a amazing job on this on. Game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun, story is great and you can pet the dog. 10/10 for me
This reminds me of the games I used to play when I was in my early childhood. It's rare to find games like these nowadays. I highly recommend this.
I absolutely love how fast paced the dashing around the sky is--even at early levels, and the music is kickass. The biggest bonus is honestly just that I've played far worse roguelites for far more dollars. At a buck, I wouldn't even think twice about buying it
簡單的小遊戲,目標有點小不太好瞄 overload的成就要讓小機器人附身到敵方圓球上,自己再趴到球上才能達成
Skies Above is an underrated short-and-sweet arcade game with snappy controls, a satisfying gameplay loop, and most of all, super cute sky-whales. Rating: 9/10
What I liked

Destroying tonnes of alien orbs never gets old, with the added combo system further adding to the satisfaction.[/*]
Graphics are great. The sky-whales (leviathans) are particularly well-detailed.[/*]
Progression is quick and never feels grindy. Upgrades to your skills and attributes are a nice touch.[/*]

What I didn't like

The game could be a little clearer about the mechanics. There is no dedicated tutorial menu to refresh your memory if you miss something.[/*]
Hypnotic and fun "roguelite." Enjoyed the pixel artstyle as well.
cool artstyle and gameplay, i like it
