Sixth Grade Detective

Honesly this game isn't worth the $4. I played it and this doesn't give the best story line. It's just a story that you read and choose different answers to come with a different outcome. So I suppose if you have nothing to do and you are really bored you can play this in one sitting. Otherwise, I would choose a different game. Try the game "Who's Your Daddy?" or "The Stanley Parable". Now those are games worth the money.

One of the most expansive and immersive RPGs of this era. The author perfectly crafted a deep web of intrigue and conspiracy that will surely take scholars decades to untangle and solve. By the end of my two hour playthrough, I was imbued with wisdom that would otherwise have taken several lifetimes to amass without the ability to live and learn vicariously through the characters in this work. Truly magnificent.

I love this game and this is a spoiler if you don't want to read it but I was left off a clifhanger in the end. I got so crazy after that clifhanger came about in the end where the dance is. I expected that the dance story would be longer because not all of the clues were answered. For one I got though my first playthough with 1 lie. 1 LIE! But thats not the fact. I get about the ending but would like another part to this story of the dance at least. I mean the crown goes missing and all I do is roll up my sleeves. Sounds like I'm going to find the person but ends right there. Overall the game was made to be great. I love it and others would love it too. Keep up the good work and I would love the cliffhanger wouldn't leave me off of one. I mean someone stole the crown! Enough ranting over how it is. I love the game and wish to play the dance a little longer. Maybe I could in another run but not today. Good game and would recommend it to others.

I really liked the writing style, which wasn't overly adorned and made for smooth reading. The characters are interesting and you grow to like some of them as you progress in the story. The mysteries are my favorite part! All in all, I'd definitely reccomend it.

Only played this game through once, but it was a great once. Really enjoyed it, had a blast. just wish it was longer and deeper. Totally recommended!! Great game.

This game only took an hour and a half to play through, but that was fair enough for what it cost - it was cheaper than going to a movie and I think I'd say I enjoyed it more than most movies. Even though the graphics are functional at best, being mainly text, I felt really involved in the game - it was well paced and well written. Although it gives you the choice to play as a boy or a girl, there are a few points in which you can tell it's written with a girl character in mind (I don't think any boy's Dad calls him 'sweetie'), but for the most part I think all the choices of ways to play allow for plenty of replay value. The main improvement I'd like to see is a choice of a different colour scheme - staring at black text on a white screen for over an hour was quite tiring on my eyes!

I can't say it was a masterpiece or that it was my favorite CoG game ever... but I really enjoyed it. The characters were written nicely, the story was fun. It was a little too short for my taste and lacked development in a few story aspects. But it was still a pleasant experience. Would very much like to see something like Part 2 and maybe 3 for MC high school, colledge or adult life. Or even in the same setting. Just anything that would make this story longer.

A good way to waste some time, the "puzzles" can be a bit simplistic but the story (while somewhat linar and predictable) is entertaining enough to make up for the games shortfalls. One of the best things about the game it the fact that the characters (or suspects) are written well enough that they "act" like real people (most of the time). All in all not a perfect game but good enough to be worth playing though a few times.

I really enjoyed this! I learned about it while playing one of the dev's other games, 'Alter Ego', and visiting their blog. While there isn't anything flashy or grabbing about the game (it's entirely text-based, without even images), there's something about that style that lends the game a sort of simple charm. Sometimes it's nice to escape dizzying visuals and flashy graphics and just read for awhile. However, this isn't a game for people unwilling to spend time reading. I'd recommend it to someone like myself, who enjoys occasional slow-paced, text-based games. As far as storylines go, it's your average sleuth situation, with a few surprise elements (romance, moral choices, etc.) thrown in. Not really anything I haven't seen before, but not exactly overdone. You need to monitor your morals and relationships, and they actually affect your gameplay. If you enjoy games with tough choices and sleuthing, I'd definitely recommend it. It definitely strikes me as a game with a lot of love and work put into it.
