Overall = 6/10
Whilst it looks fresher and has ever so slightly different mechanics in some levels, it really is just more of the same. The plinky piano music, graph paper in space style artwork and a selection of puzzles is pleasant and challenging enough, but it doesn’t really excel or bring anything really new to the series. It does get to the more advanced mechanics quicker, but apart from the last couple of levels, they offer little challenge and there isn’t enough levels to really get stuck into.

Diagonals are a natural escalation for the SiNKR series, but because of this new mechanic I wouldn't suggest buying SiNKR 3 before tackling at least one of its predecessors. Mid-game, I feel like it pulled its punches. I'd end up looking at a level and seeing several different ways to solve it, which is not a feeling I recall having much with the first two games. (The flipside: if the other two games gave you difficulty-related trouble, perhaps this one won't.) On review, SiNKR 3 re-uses the same MacLeod track as the first game (Music for Manatees)...which would explain why I found the audio grating and ultimately just turned off "sound effects" again. A bit of a flat finish to the trilogy, but still worth picking up to complete your SiNKR collection. Kudos to Wahler for continually backporting enhancements to earlier games in the series, as well.
A good amount of logic puzzles with a handful of different game mechanics.
good
A puzzle game with some hook pulling, redirectors and portals. It's not terrible, although the general mechanics of the game feels a bit clunky. Level design is okay - there are some challenges to play through, however even the best solutions are not about one clever idea, but rather about organizing the solution steps carefully. Games 1, 2, 3 - generally have the same mechanics. Basically just more levels of pretty much the same thing. Worth it, if on discount.
终于出了可以斜着拉钩的关卡了,这下考虑的就多了。 a球撞b球把b球送进洞,能量还有损耗,我绞尽脑汁大脑飞速运转。 没有想象中的难,制作组还是手下留情了,整体来说中等难度。
This is the perfect puzzle game for quiet evenings. The diagonal movement addition feels subtle but meaningful, and the painless undo makes experimentation fun.
nice little game

SiNKR 3
SiNKR 3 feels the most distinct from the previous games introducing diagonal movement and nice QoL improvements. It's still challenging and keeping me finding new ways to see levels while keeping it's core mechanics relatively the same.
Gameplay
Introducing diagonal movement may not seem like a huge change but it makes it so that things work in 8 directions rather than 4. The puzzles are just as good as the previous games, once again repeating the same layouts but changing elements to make you find new solutions. I didn't even realise the previous games lacked it but the introduction of multi-step undo's is a positive change allowing you to test interactions without committing fully.
Achievements (20/20)
Most achievements are for completing every level, everything else comes naturally.
Settings/Accessibility/Misc
Works well on steamdeck. In-game achievement and stat pages. Level select available. Keyboard, mouse and gamepad support with rebinding available.
